I think you’ll rather see Hendo start and help protect Trent.

Hendo is a quality player in big games  so yeag ?I think he will start alongside Fab and Thiago

Safe to say to win vs. Real is easier than to win vs. City.  ;)

Yes and no. City are a better side, but Madrid have a winning mentality in this competition. So do we of course, but I'm not sure they are actually easier opponents in a final than City. (Plus refs let them get away with more, as we saw last time.)

to be fair to City the Ref was dire tonight and Allowed RM to get away with so much including blowing the final whistle early he must have been on a promise

If we are 2 goals up going into injury time, get Gomez on for Trent  ;D

Can't stand Madrid, cheating cu*ts. Payback approaching.

WHAT an atmosphere there will be !!!!

And we don't have Karius in nets :)

Is there anyone here who did not root for Real bc City seemed the worse threat for us? I did root for Real bc I was much more scared of City. If you look at the two games they were better overall.

Fair fecks to Real by the way, knocking all the plastic teams out, but their duty is done now and it’s time for the real deal.

      Great read, thanks for that.

Always find it interesting to see what clubs fans make of their players - Ederson, Cancelo and Dias getting a lot of stick on there and not just for tonight. Seems a good few would happily get rid of Ederson in particular.

Reminder that for all the sportswashing and fraudulent / devious finances they've conducted... this is still the worst thing City have ever done.

Was watching bits and pieces of the game, but there was a tackle on Foden by I can't rem who, but he grabbed Fodens jersey at neck height from behind and dragged him to the ground, kicking him the back of the legs while doing it. And the guy didn't even get a yellow!!  It was stonewall yellow.
And there were some other strange reffing decisions.
Don't like Foden, but just looking ahead to playing RM, need a ref who is gonna be strong cause expect sh*te like that from RM in the final too.

Thats what Robertson is for. Probably our most physical player. He reminds me of a hockey enforcer.   He's not afraid to tackle, he fights for every ball and doesn't take any sh*t. He gives 0 fucks about the other teams players. He'll challenge anyone. I love Robertson.

On the revenge front, 2018 yes, but they also knocked us out in the quarterfinal round last season.

No Ramos anymore to hurt everybody, but Kroos, Casemiro and Modric still a top midfield. Benzema is good but Alisson won't gift him a goal like Karius did.

I really like our chances here

We all know City were the best team against RM over the two legs they just fcuked up. Not forgetting you were all sh!tting yourselves if the final was against them.  ;D

We had a few players missing for those games last season too I think?

      Was a real struggle

Wasn't like that. Only that with City being our only rivals.. it felt like that was going to be a "derby". Anything could happen.. and another domestic game against them would have been a bit bleh. I much prefer a proper Champions League final against a non-English team. Just doesn't feel the same when we're playing another PL team as evidenced when we played Spurs.

Arguably Real are more dangerous than City (who haven't beaten us this season), so we've probably got the tougher final as a result.

But I'm delighted.. firstly to play Real (for above reason), and secondly because this will hopefully hurt City and disrupt their form. We can only hope anyway.
