If Covid is a factor . Surely 1 player doesn't constitute being a factor . Tough sh*t about injuries and Afcon . Really really hope we drill these Thursday . Does anyone know when fixtures rearranged that afcon players and injured players can't play ?

Rest assured come Thursday Arsenal will come back with a strong team,  many will say master stroke by Arteta as plenty of time to rest players now.

More like bending the rules than a masterstroke . Fair enough we cancelled but that was solely Covid based not injuries or Afcon

Yes it’s bending the rules which comes under a masterstroke.

On nights and just woke up to see the Citeh/Chavs scoreline.
Would nearly let Pep have the Cl this year if he would just then F**k off into retirement.

      An absolute farce.

There has to be a minimum number of Covid infections for a game to be called off.

If the other absence are due to injury and AFCON tough luck.

This season is slowly turning into a bit of a sh*t show worse than the others affected by Covid

You shouldn’t have to have a near perfect season to win the title. I have no issue with a dominant team, but to basically have to score almost a hundred points to win the title. That’s just crazy.

Totally agree - it’s just a farce that whenever they have any issues they can always just rectify it with cash and not have to work to solve things.

And then when the tough Xmas period kicks in they’ve got about 3 separate squads to see them through whilst everyone else struggles.

Having an exceptional season (I.e 100 points) is fine but when it’s happening every single year you know the competitiveness of the league has gone.

And they get away with it at every turn.

More dodgy looking commercial deals agreed this week was there not?

The games a mess and the only saving grace is that we've been able to make the league interesting over the last few seasons.

The Cnut are capable of doing what you lot did in the 70s and us in the 90s. If they get Haaland in the summer we’re all fooked.

They will get haaland. At 62m release clause and his age ... he is a steel. No chance we go for him. He might want paying the wage befitting one of the best on the planet. Only behind Mo and Mbappe in my eyes. Its so frustrating as he would easy get us 25 plus a season easy and be a game changer signing where as Bobby and divock look as threatening as timmy mallet most games.

Worked out well for them really considering they were trying for kane for 130m. He's 28 I think and couldn't lace haalands boots and haaland will be less than half the price.

As you say ... if they get him we may as well give up. They dont concede and score plenty of goals and have 2 1/2 first teams packed full of goals and creativity and depth that even Xmas or a couple of injuries make no difference. He would just add even more firepower.

Agree with all that mate. But none of it made us put in a lazy performance at Leicester, blow countless 2 goal leads and draw against Brighton, Brentford etc. We have not been good enough. We don't have the depth. We didn't strengthen from a position of strength. We didn't push players out who were either not good enough or past their best. You can't stand still or show sentiment in this game.

So yes ... City's spending makes it hard ... but we have not helped ourselves. I was hoping we would push them this year. But it hasn't happened and if Jürgen is staying for the next 2 years and hopefully beyond, it's time to rebuild and freshen things up as we have become too predictable and its got abit stale. The players on the bench really don't threaten our first 11 .....

Well wouldn’t you know, if you can hold a lead you win the games. Who woulda thunk it.

Despite all their dirty money, it had nothing to do with us chocking up lead after lead after lead and dropping points like we didn’t want them.

If this team wants to know why it’s so far back in the title race they should go find the nearest mirror.

2-0 down, still time. Having a poor enough season so far though. Job done :)

Playing for a draw when you're ten points behind 🙃🙃🙃

Exactly , hitting the long hopeful ball to Lukaku who is back to his Utd form a very over rated player imho , bully’s the smaller teams but every time I’ve seen him against good players he’s non existent , they have been very defensive for a while under Tuchel .

£100mil for Grealish and similar for Lukaku I think we can all agree these are not the signings we need or want.

Complete screw up by Aston Villa's keeper sees United take the lead.

BBC say it is "just reward" for "a really positive start" of 6 minutes football.  :lmao: :lmao:
