Chelsea playing 5 defenders and 3 defence minded midfielders, parked the bus against us, and again today.

City looked worryingly good with that performance. Possibly the best they’ve played for a while.

Another game where Lukaku went missing though. Lower league bully is all he is, nowhere to be seen against us, Spurs or City.

Never wanted him when we were linked with the job, I was right then and unfortunately still right.  :f_doh:

Impossible to fault really as a pundit overall, very knowledgeable even though a rat boy to you lot!  :lmao: However, as a manager he did himself no favours at Valencia.  :couch:

Just saw the united-villa highlights and it should have been 2-0 for Villa after 20.

What devices were the Villa players wearing? You could see the bump through their jerseys about 6 inches below the “cazoo” sponsor.

He does himself no favours. Even if what Klopp said is true you don't come out in public and state what Ole did.  Klopp beating him on mind games as well as being different class to our w@nkfest of a manager.

Was a bit obvious and you knew what was going to happen. Had to laugh at Ronaldo's grid after the pen miss. Can't see Bruno getting many pen opportunities now.

Can't believe Spurs had the cheek to include themselves in that Super League you know. In my 20 odd years of watching footy I can recall them winning one league cup, nothing else. The only "title challenge" I remember them being in was when they were beaten to the crown by Leicester City, and subsequently ended up finishing 3rd in a two horse race.

Absolutely sh*te. Harry Kane must be kicking himself for signing that 300 year contract  :lmao:

      Quote from 7-King Kenny-7
And they were 7-10 points behind us in February a few seasons ago and ended up winning it so your point is irrelevant. The season isn’t won or lost in October. All it takes is a couple of bad results at any given stage and it can change the entire landscape of the season so again, your point is irrelevant.

They were 7 points behind us for 4 days until we went there and lost our only game of the season. The league isn't won in October but it certainly can be lost in just one random month. We were top last Christmas, 6 weeks later we were 13 points off the top, and you're not making that gap up.

After the weekend results, we'll have to wait a bit longer to put City out of sight, but the point in general still stands.

      Quote from chats

Absolutely stupid decision not to take the Kane money.

They would have taken it if a foreign club wanted to do a deal. But like most English players, he didn't want to go somewhere where he would have to learn a new language and adapt to a different culture, and selling him to one of their domestic rivals was too much for Levy. So no deal was done.

Jamie Redknapp recalled the time when we played them at Wembley when Lovren lost the head. After that, JĂźrgen focused on rebuilding his team, while they focused on rebuilding their stadium. Now they're even further off a title challenge than they were before they took a JCB to the old WHL.

I don't think Mo will have to worry about a Golden Boot challenge from Kane this year. Makes you wonder if he's really the great white hope that the English media say he is.

TBF - Everton look quite solid.

United piling the pressure though, Greenwood is a talent I must say.

Thought I read something saying teams playing in the CL on Wednesday wouldn’t get the early game on a Saturday anymore?

Not complaining today of course but I’m sure it will be our turn again soon enough.
