City had this league won weeks ago. They won it this time last season with a 25 match winning run. During this busy period their squad comes into its own. People really are clutching at straws hoping for them to drop points. City gain strength from others showing weakness and Chelsea as well as ourselves have shown plenty of weakness and they thrive off it and when given the chance they take full advantage. We have not even put them under pressure.

We pick up knocks to 2 or 3 and we are scratching round for players who are going to create or be matchwinners.

The other day I named kdb, gundogan, bernardo silva, grealish, foden, Jesus, sterling, torres, mahrez,  as just 9 potential matcheinners in terms of creativity as well as goalscorers for them. Didnt think of Rodri.

Salah and Mane don't do it for us ... we are really short ... not just on goals but creativity as well, especially in midfield.

We need to concentrate on CL now and try and stay as strong as we can in 2nd or 3rd and try and win a cup. We are capable of doing that.

City will spend at least 100-200m net in the Summer. They want another striker ... kane or haaland or someone else. They will invest heavily. So im struggling to see how we refresh our squad to challenge next season. In 6 months Mo enters his final year. If ge goes in the summer that will at least give Jürgen some funds to refresh the squad. Dont want Mo to leave but it's looking more and more likely in my view.

Lucky winner that. They didn't create anything against 10 men really.

Think our focus has to be on top four and the cups now. Even with two games in hand, that gap looks massive considering the situation around tomorrow's game.

I think this is spot on. I'm not conceding the league but I'm not worrying about it either, things are going for City and let's face it when you've got a squad like that you don't need a helping hand, to beat City to the league at the moment you need an almost flawless season which is a ridiculous ask of our squad at the moment.
I just hope those set of greedy PL spoiling bas**rds never get their hands on the European Cup.

I’m not willing to concede anything to City at this point. There’s still a lot of football left  to play and with the way things are going City could have issues at any time (and likely will).

We just need to take care of our business and as supporters we should enjoy that we still have football in packed stadiums (for now).

Pep moaning about his players being tired today because they played 2 days ago. Yet ignores the fact he didn’t make a single substitution against Brentford and then only made a couple of changes for the line up today.

They got away with the win vs Leicester when the game was going against them at 4-3, they were very lucky against Brentford and even luckier today. Surely their luck is going to run out soon?!

Yea I’m not giving up on the title just yet we are Liverpool. I’m really starting to hate City though as a club in its entirety -plastic fans, bold c**t, Dias and Silva cuntish players.

I already hate them. Nobody should sit back against City that's how they've had all their success, sit back give them the ball and they'll find a way to win fairly or being cheating, diving, moaning cu*ts, get at them and they'll concede I can't believe teams still try and hold out.
It's a huge ask now for us tbh, we can't rely on not being screwed by VAR also.
At least in CL games the officials won't be our usual shower. Anything could happen squad wise with covid to any teams in Europe but I'd love us to make it Big Ears number seven to stick in their plastic club throats.

Yep Arsenal attacked them and did well for a while, they actually looked like they sh*t themselves a bit!!

We can do that for the full 95 mins against them!!  Why can't others?

Yep. And if it doesn’t, what is there to be done anyway? The year we won it we honestly had just about everything go our way and it showed. If it happens for them it happens but I feel like they are still due a few slip ups.

It's all in the hands of VAR.  From a close  exciting title race  to handing 6 points to city has put them firm favourites.   It's an uphill task long way to go but the odds are against us.   We go into the worse month of January for us losing our best attacking options to AFCONS.  It's going to be difficult.

It is unbelievable up until the Spurs game I was confident we'd win it. In the space of two weeks I feel our title challenge has gone. The Leicester game was down to us on another day Salah scores, Mane scores and we win even though we weren't great

VAR decisions/non decisions in Spurs game.
VAR decisions for City over last month
Covid, Injuries and AFCON on our squad.

City already have an advantage with their squad and finances. I'm not giving up no way but it's gonna be difficult to maintain a league run like we have done in the past. I'd love to win the League Cup, success breeds success and if our squad is in a good state for the Inter game I'm confident at good go at Big Ears number 7...3 points today will lift the gloom at least COYR
