It is unbelievable up until the Spurs game I was confident we'd win it. In the space of two weeks I feel our title challenge has gone. The Leicester game was down to us on another day Salah scores, Mane scores and we win even though we weren't great

VAR decisions/non decisions in Spurs game.
VAR decisions for City over last month
Covid, Injuries and AFCON on our squad.

City already have an advantage with their squad and finances. I'm not giving up no way but it's gonna be difficult to maintain a league run like we have done in the past. I'd love to win the League Cup, success breeds success and if our squad is in a good state for the Inter game I'm confident at good go at Big Ears number 7...3 points today will lift the gloom at least COYR

      Totally agree!

City pull away but to be honest it’s all our own doing. Yes covid cost us at spurs, but Brentford and Brighton were killers. Plus city and Chelsea were both deserving of a point at anfield.  We needed a cushion for our mid season collapse but didn’t have one

people still complaining about City buying players nobody else can well guess what UTD have done that for decades under ferguson nobody complained certainly we couldnt afford them but nobody suggesting their league titles are invalid. No FSG bought this club kowing CITY were financed accordingly and told us they would compete they lied City's owners did not. Before looking at their owners what about Chelsea where did he get his money from the Us are the biggest arms dealers in the world if you have a go at Cities owners come on lets be fair Billionaires are Billionaires for a reason

Aye. At the minute we are on course for a 80point finish, which Has won the league title about 6 times since ‘92.
But the standard now is 85+ realistically and that’s just to be in with a challenge.
That’s a big ask for any team who has anything other than a bottomless pit of cash.
The Etihad project has meant that everybody else has to be near on perfect to grasp the title.
      No time for poor form.
No room for injuries or covid.
And fixture congestion only benefits that Etihad project.

What we lack are game changers. We don’t have many.

Salah carries the bulk of the weight of responsibility and jota chips in with some goals as well. But mane and firmino often go months without scoring and origi and minamino are just not much a plan B.

Our midfield has lots of industry. It works tirelessly. But our only creativity can usually be found in the physio room in keita and Thiago. Jones is still too rough around the edges and again, our plan B is ox who, like origi and minamino, doesn’t cut it.

Our defence seems to be cut open too easily. Maybe VVD isn’t quite the same colossus as he was. Trent often seems to switch off and is the only position we have no real cover for. Gomez has taken a backward step as well this last few seasons.

I don’t think it’s about spending big, but spending right.

Indeed. Responsibility for coughing up leads time and again lies on us, not anyone else.

Agreed. Even with the poor results in the early part against Brighton and Brentford, it was pretty much equalled out with City drawing with Saints and losing to Palace. On the whole, up until the Spurs game I think we were having a good solid season - right up there with City and the Chavs (depending who was top at the time) and after the West Ham defeat we looked to have our mojo back, stringing together a good run. But these last 3 league games have been dire and have completely ruined any chance of winning the league. Drawing with Spurs can happen, but again it was a game we had the lead and it wasn’t just the dropped points from a winning position that was bad - we were terrible that game, in truth we didn’t even deserve that point. Then Leicester comes along and we have a chance to keep our fight going but it was an even worse performance than the one against Spurs. Puts us going into the Chav game and it really was a must win and being 2-0 up, I thought we had them, we’d finally turned a corner from the last few games but nope, another shitty performance where in truth, we were lucky to come out with a point when you consider the chances they had and the little we created 2nd half.

With City being scrappy the last few games and their terrible performance vs Arsenal I expected to see a much different Liverpool to what we’ve seen the last few games but it wasn’t the case. We were brining on subs and Keita and Ox looked like they could not give a toss, looked like they’d have rather stayed sat on the bench when they were waiting to come on.

We now have Newcastle and Villa with money to spend so we can continue to claim the number one spot of the Virtue league.
F**k that if FSG dont want to compete with City,UTD,Chelsea,Newcastle,Villa then take your money and F**k off. None of this money is earned through hard sweat and toil its all tainted one way or another so lets not pretend the EPL is a paragon of virtuous dealings going back to George Graham and beyond football has always been dodgy when it comes to money.
We have one of the oldest Chinese communities in Europe I'll take them alongside any of the other owners in the EPL.

he seems to be on air an awful lot and thinks Burnley is on equal footing with clubs that compete for trophies.

Naby was probably thinking "why bother. I bossed the league cup game against Leicester when i came on and still can't get a start because the coach will still start a 36yo ahead of me".

He was F***ing terrible when he came on against Leicester in the league which was after the decent performance you mention

He could, and more than likely been sh*te in training in between too

If he’s been firing in training everyday then I have no doubt Jürgen starts him more often

      United awful there.

Considering how kind United's fixture list has been you'd have expected Rangnick to have got off to a better start.
