The ONLY way this could even be feasible is if Mo was leaving. And I just don't see it as a like for like even if that were the case. We'd likely sign a younger up and comer type to replace Mo.

I’m sure a €10 or €20 million signing in fee would be acceptable…

Reckon he's getting more than that at Madrid, pushing 40+ I'd be guessing.

Crazy thing is, we probably had more chance signing him from Monaco for £100mill than we do now on a "free".

      BS or legs in it?

No breath holding here. BTW, I'm in the back of a mini bus so can't really do any checks.

Probably always the case with Liverpool’s pay structure anyway.

It seems PSG are trying a last ditch effort to keep him. If those numbers are even close to being accurate, that's just insane... Sickening, in fact.

I read though that it's actually not about money for him, he'll take less to go to Madrid which is his dream move.

Well if that doesn't make you depressed about the jobs and income we all have, I don't know what will.

sounds like he is staying in PSG wonder what the deciding factor was. If the figures are correct how do PSG not fall foul of FFP. The money is getting just weird now.

More power to him. Not like any of us would turn down that money if someone was willing to throw it at us. Anyone that says they would is flat out lying. 😂

I’m happy with what I make for the work I do. Money isn’t everything. Certainly doesn’t hurt to have more than you need but it’s not nearly the most important thing in life (for me anyway).

Yes and no. When you reach that level of income, it's no longer about the money. As crazy as it sounds, an additional 50m doesn't make any difference in his quality of life. That money is all about power. And ego.

As much as I would love not to have to worry about money for the rest of my life, and my family's life, I hope I never become the kind of person that craves that power.

I wonder if this will have any impact on Madrid mentally ahead of the game next week. On the one hand he would have been a massive addition and I’m sure would have improved the team but, on the other, the forwards might feel they have a point to prove and be fighting to show they should be starting next season.

Any truth that he now had the power to influence who the coach and Sporting Director is and approval on signings?

If so that club is even more of a sh*t show and basket case than I thought.

No one player should have that control over a football club.

And if he's that type of guy that would demand that I'm glad we're nowhere near him

Didn’t Messi at Barcelona and Ronaldo at Real basically had decisions run by them for approval?

Sounds likely as well mate. Wouldn't surprise me with either of those clubs as well.

But to go even further and have one player influence the actual Sporting Director is beyond madness.

The Real Madrid, RM fans and La Liga meltdown is spectacular and so funny to watch. La Liga is now reportedly going to make an official complaint against PSG to UEFA, the French authorities, etc.

They are angry PSG gave him a 300M signing bonus yet less than a year ago they were ready to pay 200M to sign a player who back then said publicly he was going to them next summer on a free. I get that PSG and those oil rich clubs dont really generate the money they spend but I doubt RM generates enough money to spend 200M on just one player before even talking salary, bonuses of all sorts, etc.

The funny thing is that president of their who spends his time going around talking all sorts of sh*t and bullying people. He's managed to piss off (spite) bottomless pockets and is now surprised and angry he got beat at his own game.
