      2021 Tour de France
      Jun 28, 2021 05:03:51 pm
Thread I started for last year's Tour got zero comments. Surely someone else in here rides or watches cycling? From the opening day crash caused by a spectator to today's crash filled stage, it looks like it's going to be a really interesting Tour. Any cycling fans out there?

It can actually feel like that after riding for a few hours.

the big mountain top finishes in the Alps would be great to witness but you see far more on TV.

probably only one winner again this year but watch out for young Tom Piddock when it goes up hill this lad is a mountain goat he climbs like he has wings already a MB World Champ and a Cyclo Cross World Champ. GB has 3 in the top 6 so far but for me the Tour only starts when it goes up the Mountains

It's going to be Pogacar again. He's a beast and will likely increase his lead in the mountain stages. Kid does it all and is just unbelievable. But of course it will depend on whether he can stay clean and not get caught up in any accidents or anything like that. The way he pulled away today though to win the stage was unworldly.

And don't sleep on the American Powless. He's a climber and could be vying for the yellow jersey at some point real soon.

Pogacar holds yellow and white and is second in polka dot and is third in green jersey. Truly we are seeing history being made, short of injury I just don't see how he doesn't go down as one of the greatest ever. It's a two horse race now but Pogacar looks like he is the thoroughbred.

On the last climb of the day just 15km. Firework possible with the yellow Jersey about to catch the big group with 21k to go. It looks brutally hot out there.

Only thing that will stop Pogacar is a positive Covid test or a crash.

That was impressive. If he can keep it up he definitely deserves it. Be interesting to see how Pogs reacts tomorrow. What a crazy finish that was.
