Could be the proper beginning of a great Liverpool career, not the first match but the first really big one.

A bit surprised to see Jota on the bench, but as Jürgen would say, he can only select 11.

They just showed the stadium and it looks like the fans have learned to arrive a little earlier (at least for now). Anfield looking gorgeous in the sunshine. Come on boys!

Biggest call imho is dropping Jota, who has been scoring. No easing Robbo back, straight in at the deep end Elliot vs Keita, not huge amount in that one, but again, Keita not selected for big game.
Proper test this for both sides, will have better idea where both stand after it.

I can understand the Robbo he brings with him experience, leadership his shrewdness against dirty players.  He's a warrior and hopefully he's match fit for this.   Elliot for me is a surprise, wow!  This could be the making of him.  He has a good game today then surely we have to put the transfer market on the back burner for the moment.

In Jürgen we trust....and he trusts wee Harvey and that is good enough for me, it does raise the eyebrows I get that but Jürgen and his staff see him every day and wouldn't put him in if they thought he couldn't handle it, as for Jota, Kostas & Naby they all know it's a squad effort and will all expect time on the bench depending upon the opposition.

Big test is this but i think we come through this with three points,
