Mane needs a serious kick up the backside that level of performance is not acceptable if we want to win the PL.

Jota was also poor but still a better option up top than Bobby.

I feel we might regret not signing an attacking player. Are we the only club in the PL without an actual striker?

He’d be the first out for me when it comes to our attackers, get him off to Spain or Italy and use the funds to get Haalands release clause paid next summer.

Chelsea had actually the better chances in the 2nd. We had ball possession but very little high percentage chances, a lot of random stuff in/around the penalty box.

I think from now on Kostas has to be first choice. Robbo is just worse than him, look alone at the corners!

Overall I can live with the result. Chelsea is superstrong, probably would have beaten us 11 vs. 11.

I thought we were disappointing. We were a bit fortunate they lost a man and tbh, had it been 11 v 11 I suspect we would have lost the game. Played well early in both halves but mostly we looked a bit lacking in ideas.

Elliott had another excellent game and was our brightest spot, things didn't quite work for Mo, he was lively but fluffed his lines with that chance on his right foot. I thought VVD played well and another game under his belt is good news. I thought Robbo was off his game and Mane (despite his contribution for the penno) looked sloppy on the ball.

Still, long lonmg way to go and we've got 7 from a possible 9. Could be a lot worse.

I wouldn't say Robbo is worse than Kostas I mean he only just returned from injury. Still though Kostas is in better form and deserved to start.

Disappointing we just ran out of ideas after about 20 minutes in the second half. Having said that, they are probably the best team in the league who can defend with 10 men.

Would have liked to have seen Thiago on earlier and Keita come on.

Trent should have been overlapping Salah and putting hard straight crosses which would have made it less likely for Mendy to come and catch. Oh well, its not a loss and a point before the game would not have been a bad result. On we go.

This is something that makes me also think. Usually you shoot from distance not to make a goal but to use a reflection or insecurity from the GK. But for that to work one player has to go towards the GK when the other shoots from distance. You never see that with us. The reason is probably that Klopp does not want us to shoot from distance, so they do not train for it.
