Positives from the game for me, how quiet we kept Lukaku, young Elliot again playing some really good stuff, defo a star in the making this lad. Negatives, they were there for the taking, just couldn't find the killer pass, but they defended well with the help of a biased ref, thought he had a shocker, only 3 mins of added time after all that time wasting, and for me thought Mane was not at the races for whatever reason, just not the same player since he got covid.

I saw our team running their heart out. Some misses and few mistakes but overall we gave it everything.

Pains me to say but Klopp still doesn't trust Naby in the big games.

It's hard to understand. Yes Elliot is good but Keita is more experienced and should be playing if fit IMO. It was not a mistake not to play him but Keita should have started IMO. Klopp is ruining him..either he's good enough and he plays instead of a 18 year old or he should leave. Simple.

      Same for Origi.

Understandable given what happened in the Madrid game last season.

Wow one bad game so now doesn't trust him played out of normal position and clearly not fit think Klopp might take some of the brunt for that

I would like to suggest that this loss of two points boils down to fault of Fenway Sports Group. I’m sure some of us would agree with me. ;D

The long ball tactics by LFC in the first half were futile. LFC does not have the frontline speed to make it work. Didn't work last year, didn't work yesterday.
Amazing Klopp and the team have so much faith in Elliot already. Clearly Klopp wanted to work the ball down LFC's right side and Elliot was fantastic.
Another invisible outing (42 minutes) for Firmino, reminiscent of too many games last year. Mane was not much better.
Robo and Henderson were showing a lot of rust.
VvD was a dominant force all game

And......for the first 45+ minutes, the ref was in Chelsea's back pocket.

VVD and Matip took good care of Lukaku ,barely got a sniff ! Hendo looked out of sorts ,poor passing and shooting was well off , Thiago was a good substitute in this game ,referee's are still confused about what to let go and what to penalise

Need to find more goals, if we are going to be genuine title contenders. Hendo clearly not at his best, although not the only player, off form yesterday.

Elliot gives a bit more of a creative outlet than Naby - if it was away from home then Naby would have played.

Yesterday 3/4 of the team played below par including the front three and yet we still didn’t lose

Didn't play our best but got the point.

I think Chelsea will be the toughest games we have this season home and away , as City are more open and let us play, so I'm happy enough with a point even with the 10 men.

Sadio is still a bit of a concern but hopefully he gets some form.

Elliott again doesn't look out of place in this team at all

Our back is super solid, decent midfield but our front three needs to be more clinical.

Our midfield needs to help the front three chip some goals. Henderson, Salah and Mane should all have scored from open play.

Some people never fully put away their Bobby whipping stick. When Firmino went off, our attacking ideas went to sh*t.

Hard to state that as fact IMO given Jota was facing an 8 man defence in the second half. Two different situations for the first and second half. I think they both had 6/10 games.

Don't think the clamour from fans to give him a new long term contract is quite as loud this morning.

We played against 12 in the first half and even though they had a man, correctly sent off (Not that those cu*ts in VAR had a clue, so put it back on the c**t ref) and against 11 in the second half.

Tell me that c**t Ref isn't in there pocket, just like VVD and Joel had Lukaku in theirs!!!

Disgraceful refereeing, if you can call it that!!! Every 50/50 went their way, he allowed the numerous times of time wasting by those cu*ts, falling down whenever they got the slightest touch or feigning cramps and then fu**ed us with 3 minutes and F**k all stoppage time.

Seeing those cu*ts celebrate like they won the league, pissed me off, switched it off and went to bed, angry!

Thought Kostas on form should have been given a start. Wonder what that will do for his confidence?

Same goes for Jota. Should have been in the starting 11 for me.

F***ing sh*t, we have to stew on this now for what, 3 weeks? F***ing hate Internationals!!!

Atkinson made an important point on TAW, our left side was absolutely abject and offered nothing all game. Robertson and Mane stunk the place out...
so we became even more predictable than we usually are...im still a bit concerned about where the goals are coming from other than Salah...

Salah, Mane and Bobby all have the same number of goals from open play and Jota has 2. Let’s not pretend only one player on the team has scored.

Agree with that. It’s the usual tantrums whenever we don’t win.

It’s hard enough to beat a parked bus of hacks over 90 minutes and it’s much harder to beat a parked bus of talented, organized, well coached players like Chelsea in 45. We had some chances and weren’t clinical enough and ultimately that’s the difference between getting 1 or 3 points.

Definitely. We need the midfielders to pitch in because we cannot only rely on the front 3 to score. That miss by Hendo was huge. Elliott had a dangerous shot attempt so he looks willing to shoot but need them to go in at some point.

      Subbed one, not both.

They could still break and we still needed a midfield destroyer in there.

Mourinho would of been proud of that second half defensive display from Chelsea.

The efforts from VVD and Robbo could have gone in. We were literally camped in their half second half, so a little bit gutted we didn't get the winner, but that's football.

Everyone said Chelsea had improved, think they showed that with their performance in 2nd half, they were happy to leave with a point.
