Would be a good bit of business that, assume there will be plenty of add ons and a bumper wage as you'd expect from a club prepared to pay top dollar to secure one of the best young players in world football

I would be shocked if that is true, and i also would suspect that there is something else going on in the background. Like shell companies paying the rest, so it wont be a ffp problem later on.

But he is still only 19 and has a long way to go to establish himself as a true world star

Going to Madrid at that age can go two ways - plenty have just not worked out and left quickly after , Tchoumeni right now is showing how it’s a struggle. So I’m still surprised if he goes there and doesn’t stay at Dortmund for a bit more

The club made the choice that his signing is not financial viable and would prefer to use the money on other players - it’s not going to make or break the club and who knows we may pick him up later in life
