Did he actually say that? Wouldn't mind watching that again if you could throw up the link.

We are great again though are we not??

At least I consider us to be given recent trophies etc etc etc.

By most measurements anyone would consider us one of the top teams in the world.

Anyway back the Bellingham to stay on topic and he definitely seems like he's going to the very top so will be interesting to see his next move.

Find the link yourself, it was very widely transmitted at the time.

      Don't have to now :f_tongueincheek:

Like I said I remember it now.

But as I also said we are great again right??

Trophies, players, stadium etc etc etc.

Unbeaten now in last 15 league games. Top of the League.

Things are pretty good I'd say

Quite possible they spoke the truth. They opened their purse for VVD and Alisson. Now, it's quite possible Klopp is happy with what he has. We are loaded, the core of the team knows each other to perfection which transitions to better field performance. New players can also harm a team, it's not only a one way direction. Klopp knows that. Was e.g. Lukaku really someone better than our front 4? Should we have bought him despite pissing off one of our front 4? I think FSG is still ok wit their spending policy.

What a lot of unmitigated sh*t!

I see him being the player that the club will be happy to do that for as well - a player to spend the Nike money on 😂

We have been so blessed with our magnificent trio its going to cost a fortune to replace anyone of them. Bellingham has at least shown some confidence at a young age to play abroad and is doing really well. Jan or next summer ?

People will definately  want him now they know where he plays . On a serious note looks a good player and would add some youth and class to that area . Will they prioritise that area though or another striker that is the question

Guess will depend on who leaves etc

Could see both areas be looked at

He's a great fit, a great talent and it would be a fantastic signing, but one or both of Ox and Naby would have to be sold.

Happily trade both of them plus cash for Jude

Next summer we could very well lose Ox, Milner and i believe Thiago would go into his final year of his contract. There will be a lot of movement over the next year or 2 in our midfield.

If you're going to bring in a player like Bellingham it's not to have him be the 6th or 7th option. He'd come here to be an everyday starter.

Would be a great fit for us but a difficult deal to get done.

Not sure Dortmund will let Haaland and Bellingham go in the same summer (and it looks like they've got no choice on the former who has a release clause).

That and the fact all the big teams in England will be wanting Bellingham, not sure how we would compete on the wage or transfer fee front unless he makes it clear, like Virgil, that the only place he would be coming would be here.

Go after Haaland and pass on this youngster. Top talent for sure, but his price scares me when you factor that you're paying for tons of potential. Like a poster said earlier, can't get him and Haaland at the same time. There's great value players in the prem who are already proven, can do a job, and would cost a lot less

It is reported Bellingham is “too expensive” for LFC and Real Sociedad and Spain midfielder Mikel Merino is now being considered.

Isn't expensive a function of price vs ability and potential? Robbo is considered cheap. Mario was expensive. We all probably know the price. Maybe it's the potential and ability that doesn't keep up with the price.

Maybe the sell to buy option isn’t available at the moment which is more credible than your dissection of the word “expensive”.

If we baulked at some of the transfer fees for players this summer, then this lad will be too expensive, but then again I'd heard we'd jibbed Jude about two weeks ago to look at a Polish player so this again could all be bollocks sunday paper talk.
