Ha ha - my whole family tree is Irish till the old man.

I want the Irish passport post Brexit and in lieu of Scottish independence.

Try ordering a Jameson’s in the Highlands......similar experience in some places :)

My family heritage is Irish as well, off the boat here in South Aus some 170 years ago-ish. So I should know better :D

Yeah I spent a few days in the Highlands on that same trip, some of my favourite memories. Little town called Tomintoul - don't remember much beyond some hellish drinking with the locals!

Turns out you CAN get completely wankered on 4% lager IF it’s £3 a pint......

If anyone ventures down the arse end of Cornwall, I'd recommend The Swordfish in Newlyn.
A fishermans pub, full of great characters, great beer, and a proper throwback. If you don't like it rough and ready, don't bother, if you do the craic is great.

Also well worth a visit, is The Lamp and Whistle in Penzance.
Craft beer pub, with loads of different rums, Brooklyn Lager on tap, all the stuff made by monks.
It's a tiny place, and the landlord is a bit of an arse, but the beer makes up for it.
Ron Jeremy has his own rum.

Other places that are good; The Admiral Benbow, The Turks Head and if you like a bit of rough, The White Lion and the London.

      My liver needs a rest.

The mrs was spending time with her mates, so I had lots of time to walk and explore.
Newlyn seems to be a place at a crossroads.
Still got the fishing, but more and more people buying second homes and holiday lets is killing the place.

      Rattler is F***ing lethal.
      Nice, but lethal.
