When the team sheet came through and VVD was rested I was pretty sure no matter how the game shaped we would somehow concede.

Dont kind Joel don't mind Joe. But together it doesn't seem to work and then factor in Joel has played every match so far so must be close to a month out and Joe is playing his first back from a year out, this was a defence that really needed its forwards to get the goals.

1 million % we will dominate this half but I dont see a victory as anything but an outside chance now. Milan will not get cocky like we did. They will defend their goal and use every trick in the book to slow this down.

The reason im thinking that Matip wasnt drawn in, its becase that's where the line was. Robbo and taa were with him. Gomez just pulled back, and taa had to follow. If gomez just held the line, it would have been offside.

Not saying Matip was perfect, but he did what he was supposed to do. Hold the line.

Gomez went with the runner which was the right decision or else he could’ve been played through on goal. Matip got sucked in, the biggest mistake Gomez made was not bollocking Matip to get back in line with the rest of the defence and as a result the ball was played into the gaping area with all the time in the world to pick his spot.

You’re not alone there, even when we were dominating I wasn’t really sure what Hendo was doing. Seems to be doing a lot of casual strolling since the kick off without really making any sort of impact.

Trent epitomised our first half. Played great and then thought "we're gonna win this, I can start showing off".

Origi was far down the list of problems in the first half. Hendo, Gomez, Salah, Trent, even Ali all had a worst half than Divock.

Need to sharpen up this half. Reality check for the sloppiness and overconfidence that crept in.

Surely Origi will be pulled soon though cos he's costing us when trying to move the ball quickly
