So the Egyptian King is now 11th on the all-time list. Had he scored his penalty against Milan, he'd be equal with the great Sam Raybould on 130 Liverpool goals but instead he had to settle with going past another of our early heroes in Jack Parkinson.

And the remarkable thing about it all, is it seems like he's only been here for five minutes. The names before him are etched in Liverpool's history and are all worthy of being put in any all-time Liverpool XI. Mo Salah is undoubtedly in that conversation now.

I absolutely love Mo but i can't see any striker ever beating Rush. If he stays for another five years then i think he will beat Hunt.

Torres wouldn’t have been much higher IMO. I think people tend to forget that whilst his career on an individual level really went downhill after leaving us, his decline had most definitely started in the final season he was with us, the injuries he was getting in 09/10 really took their toll on him.

Suarez however, think he’d have been in and around where Salah is on goals had he stayed.

But regarding Mo, if we were lucky enough to keep him for another 4 or 5 years, then he could really chip away at the top 10. He won’t get anywhere near Rush though, Hunt would be a real push but think catching Hodgson would be realistic.

I just don’t see where he could go? Sure Barca would be fun and Real Madrid could work - but it’s not a guarantee that it will be a success. If he stays here then he gets immortalised for the ages.

If he signs a new deal here I'd put good money on him ending up as our 2nd or 3rd all time highest scorer. Almost a certainty he'll be #8 by the time the season is done.

Wonder if Jota will find himself anywhere on that list in a decade or so time. At the minute he's the exact same age as Salah was when he first joined, but has a 30 goal head start.
