Yes Salah missed a chance he should have buried but F**k me he has scored enough recently for people to give him a pass.

We lost that game because of how sh*t we were at the back, everytime they had the ball in the air we looked pathetic.

Hindsight is a great thing but once we took the lead the first time around I would have thought a formation change would have happened to sure things up, why do we have 5CB's if we not going to look at playing a back 5 with 3 to run out the clock.

To me that whole performance came across naive. A couple of seasons ago we would have made that game boring and got it done but instead we let it get wild.

There will be plenty of other teams that will get us into that mess. How will we react? That’ll define our season.

Yeah thats my feelings on it. We can carry playing like we did against AC and Brentford and it will be fantastic for the neutrals and give us some real exciting games or we can grind results out and look at winning some silverware at the end of it all.

Wont win the biggest honours though with this basket ball style.

I felt like this was always going to be a tough place to go.

I'm probably stating the obvious, but I think the title will be won based on who drops less points against these 'types' of teams.

I'm glad we won at Leeds and i'll take the point against these lot.

After City, Watford will be another tough game away from home. Lets keep going

You'd take a point from Brentford, good job our defence listened to you then

I wouldn't "take it" before the game. But as the game evolved, i'll take it. We should have finished our chances, we were wasteful AF.
Allison was flapping like a Dolphin. On a different day we win this 4-2.
But I wouldn't look much into it generally speaking. The season is long, there will be ups and downs. A defeat would have been much worse. Thats just me though

Simply a great game for the neutral and a good advert for football. Both sides playing their part in a very entertaining game.

You know sometimes you just have to give credit to the other team.
Yes, we made mistakes but the way they played and fought. They deserve all the praise.

      So well done Brentford.

It’s really the end of the world for us. We can’t even tame a newly promoted side. Mo has done a lot but he should have done more. We lack a clinical forward, a better goalie, better midfielders and better defenders and a better manager. I need the team to be 20x better than this. Unacceptable and all should go. Squad overhaul please.

We cannot afford to drop points like this. We have no leeway to slack off points over the course of 38 games. In a 200m individual medley, we need to come out top at every stroke and 50m split. So it’s the same here. We need to win every game.

Actually in a 200m IM the winner is not the one who is fastest in every stroke, but is generally good over four stokes. He could be second in the butterfly it still win the gold. Unless you’re the 4x100m Jamaica relay team going for London 2012 WR. Lewis is the world champion but he doesn’t do that by winning every race or starting in P1. Get me point?

I like saying whatever I want. But if I put the big picture into perspective, it’s not necessarily the end of the world. Some comments here are really knee jerk. Class is permanent. Maybe yesterday was just form. Take a break. And you don’t spend money on new players to fix form. You spend money to bring in or build class in new players.

I believe branding plays a big part in our feelings. It’s called the horns effect in our unconscious bias and hence we assume we should be beating them easily. Any other outcome feels like a loss, especially after seeing the chances we’ve missed…

Bad day at office for the defending. But Id rather give credit to brentford.

      Cracking game to watch.

Really could have been any score.

Fantastic, point gained, they will take points of other top teams.

I don't quite get why everyone thinks its so awful?

We've had a ton of kits this exact same colour and it is  traditional away colours for us.

Thought Brentford fought hard but please let's not pretend these are as good a side as some make point and they will take points off all the top sides cos they won't Brighton have already turned them over at their place. We got our tactics wrong and individually weren't good enough on the day .

Unfortunately having twice had the lead and the chances we had to get more goals, it was 2 points lost rather than a point gained.

Really not buying all this 'they will take points off other top teams' BS.

City and Chelsea will win comfortably there ... probably without conceding or breaking a sweat.

We were challenged defensively for the first time this season and we were found wanting. We were pathetic at the back and could not deal with their tactics which were hardly earth shattering or complicated.

Tactically we were bad and that's on Jürgen sadly. To take of Jones was a mystery to me ... the lad had just scored, chest out ... and was comfortably our best midfielder yesterday. Firmino offered nothing when he came on and they got back in top in midfield.

Collectively as a team that was nowhere near good enough. But this is just my opinion ... but Sadio and Robbo? How did they stay on. Milner, Tsimakis, Minamino or even Origi could have come on ...yet he keeps both of them on and only makes one sub, to remove one of his better players. Bizarre to these eyes.

You have 2 lads there who scored the other night plus the Greek who assisted again and yet can't get on when others are having a total shocker ... what does that do for these lads. Klopp says he needs a squad ... but only for the league Cup it seems.

We need to get back to shutting games down, managing games, and stop being so wasteful in front of goal. Stating the obvious there though eh.

Every point picked up is a point gained. ;-)

We could have won that game defo, so can be seen as points dropped, but with the way brentford played and the way we defended, we could have lost it too.

So a draw, all good. next game please.

No scapegoats. It was a poor team performance all round. Neither virgil or matip played well today and they both looked nervous. Did you or tadders feel comfortable during that game that both our centre halves were in command? Because I certainly didn’t. The whole back line was a mess.

The consensus is that Brentford were credible opposition and deserving of the result.

"Feeling comfortable" watching a competitive game is not the desired mindset, feeling confident playing mediocre opposition and three goals up would inspire a comfortable feeling.
Brentford on that showing were a long way from mediocre and have proved a match for quality opposition as their league position indicates.

Not once do you credit the opposition with a reasonable display but are more concerned with criticising every LFC player on the field.
