Senegal fans just trying to get an edge over their opponents

No one's arsed when we whistle, boo and abuse every Man City touch when they play at Anfield.

Bit much the lazers bit of sporting integrity out the window with that.

      Can blind them things too.

Egypt a dour team though anyway, Senegal got a bit more to offer.

Those are only psychological though. Lasers means going after the physical side. It may not be really harmful, but it does prevent you from seeing clearly. That's cheating in my book.
And I'm saying this as someone that wanted Senegal to go through.

Got no problem bwitb the antics but lasers in the face are a step to far for me ,

I've seen us do plenty to put the opposition off so no moral outrage here.

Apparently the laser pen usage was pay back by the Senegal fans after their players were subjected to it in the first leg.

Oh.... happy for Sadio but so gutted for Mo.

that's twice he's been gutted in a month.

How will that effect his Liverpool psych? Hope he comes out and takes out all his frustrations on every team we face till the end of the Season.

      Now get home safe lads!!!

Just saw some images of Salah escorted off the pitch, with his head protected by a bodyguard. Many Senegalese fans were throwing stuff at him... instead of celebrating their qualification...  ??? :f_steam:

      Yes, obviously  ;)
But it's still not a good look for Senegal. They'd rather abuse an opponent than celebrate... Seems a bit strange to me. Unless something happened and I missed it.

Qatar rep not happy with Southgates comments about the upcoming world Cup. Some sensible comments made that no country is perfect and maybe a bit of  humility from Western Countries about our own failings would go a long way to creating a more peaceful world.
We still in the West think we have all the answers and clearly we dont respect and tolerance needs to work both ways I was vert impressed with the guy from Qatar we are never too old to learn

A lot of fair points there but to counter how many people died working on our main stand or Anny road end so far?

      Quote from chats
Standard of the Euros last year really was appalling when the winners can't even qualify for a World Cup less than a year later.

Happened to Denmark after they won it in 92. 24 teams can now go to the Euros, only 13 can go to the World Cup from Europe, as was the case in Denmark's time.

      Quote from Brian78
Italy is a shocker, missing the last one was weird as they always qualify but to miss out as European champions is just wow

      Credit to North Macedonia

Italy had a Macedonia. Unless you're Greek or around Greeks, you can ignore the North reference as only the Greeks care, and I don't think Tsimikas reads this forum. It's not Northern Ireland you're talking about.

not that long ago mate people died on building sites every week. We could offer to help rather than to cast blame. I am not sure how safe the sights are but again in this Country we are heading to the bottom for cheap labour just look at P&O. I think about 40 a year die on sites a lot more than that pro rata on fishing boats etc.
      from the guardian.
"There have been 37 deaths among workers directly linked to construction of World Cup stadiums, of which 34 are classified as ā€œnon-work relatedā€ by the eventā€™s organising committee".
I blame Fifa as much as Qatar they clearly did not have the resources in Labour to take on this project but money talks doesnt it.

jeez WTF is going on here its like pulling teeth we know the Pot 1 will go into postion 1 why do they need another ball.
Just took 15 mins to draw out 8 balls out.
now we get to pot 2 . Is this supposed to be tension filled excitement. England get USA .
If they don't hurry up we will not know who the first game is before the draw is over.

Not a bad draw for Canada. I don't expect much from use but we might be able to sneak a win or draw from our group.

As for the rest group B and C look interesting. Just feels weird that it will be played in the winter.

Normally England would like their chances to win that group but with Southgate dumbing them down who knows. US has the same problem with Berhalter otherwise Iā€™d count them fair odds to win the group as well. Should be interesting. If Scotland get that last spot that will certainly be interesting.
