Few of the alleged weaker teams doing well. Argentina and the German results equal in shock territory...and South Korea haven't kicked a ball yet. Takes me back to Goodison in 1966 when North Korea led Portugal 3-0 but Eusabio scored 4..nearly beat them on his own.

Decent performance but Belgium were there for the taken and we didn't have the finishing on a few good chance.

Hopefully we can come back stronger vs Croatia

Played well and could've won. Pen was a bit soppy but Canada could beat Morocco and Croatia. Belgium were crap tho.

I can't help but feel we'll have a surprise winner at this WC... A first timer, or a completely unexpected country (Uruguay?).

      Australia?

Played well, using our pace and overloads on the flanks to create the space but no finishing touch and don't know why David didn't take it (who takes them for Lille). Undone by our dogey defending on a simple ball over the top.

Hope we can keep it up and get one to make them sweat a bit.

From what I've seen, you genuinely have a chance to get out of the group...

Love this... Germany's interior minister wore the one love armband whilst sitting next to Infantino (FIFA president)... That's a nice "screw you".

Belgium's minister of foreign affairs did the same. I'm loving this trend. Even more so knowing Infantino has to sit there and take it silently.

Based in what I saw from Croatia and Morocco I agree we have a chance but need to be a little better in the final 3rd and get a result on the weekend.

Germany playing politics instead of football  :lmao:

These surprise results are exactly what FIFA want to see and justify the expansion of the teams and inclusion of more 'lower' quality countries. Hard to argue against it when Argentina and Germany lose to such poor teams.

Nah I’m sorry - I think it should be called out. Illegal to be gay in 2022 when we can all guarantee that the % of homosexuals in every single country on earth is probably the same.

Yeah, building stadiums that will never be used again. Good idea, great for the environment and superb for long term thinking.

What twisted nonsense. Islam also accepts that homosexual people are human beings.

But how dare the West try to impose itself on the religion of other countries.

Not a question of the 'West' imposing anything on Qatar. More like Qatar are imposing their ancient ludicrous laws on genuinely normal people. Denying people basic human rights. And peaceful protest against this should obviously be allowed.

Starting with Suarez in his physical condition you might as well play with 10 men.
