I keep expecting OX to show us what he can do but he really hasnt done that since his injury and he doesnt look happy being out there.

That half was best summed up by when Ox without warning walked off the pitch to ask for some new boots.

Lack of cohesion is obvious against a decent team. Plenty of possession but passing is awful

Disappointing that there's 5-6 players out there who should be going all out here to try and force their way into Jürgen's plans but they seemingly can't be arsed (or just aren't good enough).

Don't think the likes of Jota or Bobby will make a difference here until the centre backs sort themselves out and the midfield establish a bit of dominance.

This really feels like a typical cup game. If we score first, we might end up scoring a boatload. But we could just as easily lose this.

Nah cup ties are usually quite open and fun. This is training session stuff.

Ox really doesn’t do himself any favours does he. Every game he is given a chance from the start, he always fails to impress. He should be running this midfield but he’s been completely anonymous yet again.

Defence has been clumsy so far and the attack aren’t involved other than chasing after scraps.

Very thankful for his contributions as a Red, but its time to move on from him. Pathetic displays as a starter for sometime now. Very last on rhe senior depth chart at this point, and soaking up a lot of money to do so

Watched the first half pretty much, can’t cope with watching anymore unless there’s a massive uplift! I was looking forward to seeing how the youngsters did, not great so far, Preston so want to win this! Need a big 2nd half if we’re to win this.

The midfield is the issue here. Not covering the spaces and not creating much.

Very poor first half. Every time our forwards receive the ball it's with their back to goal. No crossed coming in, and no one in the box to get on the end if the did. No one has had a good game so far.
I can see Bobby and Jota coming on in the second half for that bit of magic to sneak the win.

Wouldn't be surprised if they haven't, honestly. Preston is setting in a tight 5-3-2 or 6-3-1 with the first bank of 5 or 6 outside the box and the other bank not too far away making it really difficult for us to get past.

Looks like the winner of "who's today's scapegoat" is Ox.

I’d consider putting Dixie bonner in for Blair and then stick ox in the front three with origi and minamino.
