Liverpool 2-2 Brighton & Hove Albion: In game and Post Match discussion
      Oct 30, 2021 02:00:39 pm

Anfield hosting the Mighty Reds against the Seagulls

      Players arrived at Anfield

Starting XI: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson, Henderson, Jones, Keita, Mane, Salah, Firmino.

Subs: Adrian, Gomez, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Minamino, Jota, Tsimikas, Origi, Matip, Morton.

Sadio Mane returns to the line-up as Liverpool face Brighton & Hove Albion at Anfield today.

The Reds make two changes from last weekend’s emphatic 5-0 win at Manchester United, with the Senegalese forward replacing Diogo Jota in the XI.

The other alteration sees Curtis Jones come in for the injured James Milner, while Naby Keita is fit enough to start at Anfield this afternoon and Tyler Morton is named on the bench.

Today’s match is the first home game since October 3rd and only our second match in our last nine at Anfield.

Love seeing Morton on the bench. Hopefully we get a big lead and can give the kid his first team debut.

The place to be right now.

We need to continue where we left against Utd. Brilliant XI and some very good players on the bench too.

No Thiago on the bench, that’s a strange one since he is back training. Obviously knew he wouldn’t be starting but thought we could at least get 10/15 mins out of him. Injured again by any chance?

Klopp said yesterday that he probably didn't think he was ready yet

Klopp said that while he was back in training that it was too soon to play in a game. Would expect to make the bench against West Ham, maybe even Atletico.

Fabinho is the one that went from a knock to suddenly not knowing when he’ll be back.

Lallana to start for them as well. Good servant for us.

They have a quick team so we will need to watch that especially if we play a high line.

Set pieces could be key today. I fancy that will be where the game is won.

First time back at Anfield with a crowd. Hope he gets a thundering reception.

The cynic in me thinks he will probably get another applause as he limps off after about 12 minutes.
I always thought he could be like our peter Beardsley. I’m glad he left with a league winners medal though.

Thanks for the time spent on such an enjoyable opening post.

I wish there was a video with a 3-D camera just walking around outside  the stadium on match day, capturing sights and sounds. I'd watch that for hours.

Midfield battle for me. I'd like to see Curtis Jones revert to his form from before the Preston game. Also like a goal from Sadio today
