Liverpool 4-0 Arsenal: In game and Post Match discussion
      Nov 20, 2021 04:30:54 pm

Starting XI: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Tsimikas, Fabinho, Thiago, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mane, Salah, Jota.

Subs: Kelleher, Konate, Henderson, Minamino, Phillips, Gordon, Beck, Morton, Bradley.

Thiago Alcantara starts for Liverpool in this evening’s Premier League clash with Arsenal at Anfield.

The midfielder is named in the starting line-up, with the Reds making two changes from their last outing at West Ham United prior to the international break.

The other change sees Kostas Tsimikas replace the injured Andy Robertson at left-back, while Jordan Henderson is named on the bench.

First time I can say that Arsenals bench is stronger than ours. Whats happened to Origi?

What a bench! Injuries are taking its toll.

We need to win this to keep up, if less than a win, this league is off the table.

Solid 11. Bench looks light but who knows, if needed might be a new hero waiting there?

Arsenal in good form this wont be easy but expect a top performance from the boys to get all 3 points

      I take it back. 17, 19, 19 and 18. Positively geriatric then.  :P

Disappointed Hendo couldn't make the starting lineup. On the bench, so I guess not fully ready.
Thought Konate might get a game, but Matip has been playing well, and having a good run without injury.
Thiago hasn't played a lot of games and AOC can be up and down, so hopefully we can win the midfield battle.
And our lads up front, there are goals there with the form they're in.
Reckon Jürgen has them pumped to react to the WH result, hopefully we get off to a good start and keep the pressure on them.

Thank You one and all for your support truly appreciated.

I'm slightly disappointed that Hendo didn't make it, but AOC has been impressive of late so I don't think it's too much of a blow,  that bench though is indeed threadbare however, there are one or two young guns who have impressed when called upon and I'm particularly looking forward to seeing Kade Gordon given a run out, but the subs we're more likely to see will be Hendo, Taki and perhaps Morton,

We really can't afford anymore injuries, we're on the brink of the madness that is the Xmas period and we need to be as close to full strength as possible,

So onto the Gooners, they to be fair have been  easy on the eye of late, playing some decent football,  Arteta or if you prefer Captain Scarlet is finally getting his message across,  could cause a few problems but will depend if they come out to play or not.

      3-1 Mighty Redmen

We need a performance of confidence and domination as we normally do against arsenal

Bench is the thing that stands out there. Looking very thin on the ground at the moment.

Very weak bench.  Not how you want your 20 man squad to look like just as they are about to enter 6/7 weeks of a busy festive period.

Only good thing is that we've already qualified from our Champions League group.

Thiago and Oxlade-Chamberlain in the same midfield is not setting my world on fire but happy to have my eye wiped on that one.

Gone for a 5-0 tonking here!

My only concern is with Ox. Been really disappointed in him for a while now. I really want it to work out for him but he has to start seriously upping his game. This is a chance for him to try and stake a claim for regular first team football, i hope he takes it.
