      Pre-match: Liverpool V Southampton [Saturday November 27th, 15:00]
      Nov 26, 2021 06:38:59 am

Liverpool are heating up again as they prepare to face Southampton at Anfield this Saturday afternoon.

The Reds have been leaky in 2021/22 so far with either two goals or no goals conceded in each of their last 10 matches, with little correlation.

Jürgen Klopp will be pleased to see his side keep a pair of clean sheets already in the last few days, first against Arsenal then Porto.

Jürgen Klopp has seen his injury list increase heavily in the last few weeks and even missed nine of his first team players in the victory over Arsenal last weekend, but it could be just the five for the visit of Southampton.

James Milner, Andrew Robertson and Divock Origi all returned from injury to come on as second half substitutes against Porto on Wednesday, while Diogo Jota was also named on the bench, so it can be expected that the quartet will be involved against the Saints.

Naby Keita (thigh) could also make his return this weekend but Curtis Jones (face), Joe Gomez (calf), Roberto Firmino (thigh) and Harvey Elliot (ankle) will remain out.

      NB: Team no longer available

I would not rush Jota because we need him massively in January.

I would replace Ox with Origi and play Origi through the middle. I've never been that impressed with Ox when he's played in the front 3.

Otherwise good team, that is what I hope would be picked. ;D

Yea, jota wont be rushed back, but we cant not play him when fit, as he will lose his rhythm.

I often get myself a couple of Southampton players when I do a fantasy league auction - they're a risky gamble. I'd say they are one of the most inconsistent clubs in the Premier League - capable of pulling off a great result, capable of getting walloped by relegation fodder all in the same week.

I quite like their unpredictability!  Hope they're sh*te on Saturday though.

He was rested exactly after he scored and would do the same at around 65-70th minute on Saturday.

Got a lot of games coming up and with players coming back from injury can see that midfield being changed a little bit each game.

After Jurgens accolade of how important Tiago is, I can’t see him being dropped for this.
With Chavs 4 point ahead, every prem game is a must win !

at least our Scouting team can stay at home this weekend. I cant remember a Liverpool game  not being a "must win" its just the way it is and has been for over 60 years since a certain Scot turned up and hated getting beat at anything its now in our DNA.
If the lads are on it I can see more goals for Mo and Sadio and Jota if he plays.

Back to the bread & butter and another chance to put cannon fodder to the sword, no disrespect to Saints but truth is we are on different  planets and I knows Jürgen will have the upmost respect for them, however, we need to be ruthless and if we are on it I can see us slotting at least 5 against Ralph’s minions,

Sometimes in a season you getting games where everything just clicks into place and we revert into ‘Poetry in Motion’ mode, for me I’d be fielding as full and strongest side possible, ……..

                             Alisson
             Trent   Matip   Virgil  Robbo
                            Fabinho
                 Hendo              Thiago
                Salah       Jota       Mane

Bench;  Kelleher, Konate, Kostas, Neco, Milner, AOC, Origi, Minamino, Morton

We of course all hope Jota makes it but if not I’d be happy if Taki sits in between Mo & Mane, with Div coming in laters, the gulf in class is massive so we shouldn’t have too much to worry about ,

      I’m going for a very comfortable 5-0 absolute f***in Trouncing  !!!

Trent has been in great form lately and Robbo looked like a new man on Weds so with them two charging down the flanks the front three looking menacing this could be awesome if it all falls our way other than that a regulation 3-0 win

Klopp talking about having options again in MF, and games every 3 days again. So Ox & or Thiago might be rested saturday.

With 3-a-week for the next month or so we will need to rotate for sure. Jota i don't think got into the Porto game so he may come off the bench in the 2nd half before getting a start against Everton. In the middle we have some options again with Fabinho, Hendo, Milner, Thiago and Ox all available but with the last 2 having played at least 60 minutes on Wednesday i could see them getting rested.

With utd v Chavs and City v West Ham, we could make up a bit of ground here,
Need to win it, and there ain’t a side in the  prem, incapable of springing a surprise result, as we’ve been victim to before.
Put the strongest side out, get it won and then make the subs to rest players !
We have cocked it up in the past, then put on subs too late to have an impact on the game.
Just don’t underestimate or show a lack of respect for anyone. It may come back snd bite you on the Arse !

On another note, I’ve gone for a 4:0 win 😂😂😂😂

But only if we put out a respectable starting 11 😊

      Strongest team imho would be:

                 Ally
      TAA Matip VVD Robbo
       Hendo Thiago Fab
        Mane Jota Salah

But playing Everton Wed Dec-1, so maybe he'll rest a few.
Hard to know, but has good options like Kostas,AOC,Taki,Milly for tomorrow which is great.
