Second half wasnā€™t as good as the first and we did still give away too many chances with that high line. But none the less, overall a very good performance, by far the better team and they were lucky the scoring stopped at 4.

Job done for the weekend, can relax and hope the teams around us now drop some valuable points.

      Well in Reds.

Great win that, absolutely dominated it start to finish and could have finished with a few more.

Looking good as we head into the Christmas period.

Fecking cold - didnā€™t play 100% but were clinical when needed

Robbo showed why he is a streets ahead of Kostas

Did hear someone grumbling about Jota - ā€œhe only scores and not much elseā€ 😂😂😂

Konate pace is key for him - did ok

Good win that today, probably should have had more!!

Jota motm, well taken two goals, another classy performance from Thiago, Allison doing what he does making the save from their only real chance, a nice little finish from VVD and Robbo putting in a good shift back at left back.

Yet another game were we've put the game out of sight and just controlled the tempo of the game. Quietly hitting form again.

      Could have been 10-0

Robbo, Mane, Jota all played exceptional as well as Allison

Southampton should shutter its doors and use its pitch to host a farmer's market or maybe canine park

Liked this post match quote from JĆ¼rgen:

"Talking about stability, I was not happy with the chances we conceded today, to be honest. I have no problem that Ali has to make saves in a football game but these saves were too spectacular. One-on-one with the goalie should not happen twice in a game, for sure not. We have to really work on that. We have to be as stable, serious, ruthless defensively as somehow possible. That gives us then the platform to play football and then we can create and then we can score."

Clearly he remains driven to see our performance and accomplishments rise to even higher levels. We've been good this season but we'll have to be better to win a trophy.

Think he's spot on. A better team could have got a result against us today. Sounds crazy because we won 4-0 but we were sloppy in a lot of areas.

Imagine how good we'll be when it all falls into place (and if the injuries stay away)!

Brilliant hes highlighted it, hes spot on for a start but it will keep the lads focused and alert, were firing goals in but we need to be solid at the back, think I mentioned in the live thread about our short passing game not being good enough to beat top teams and the gaffer has highlighted another issue....if we get those sorted were going very close on all fronts for me

Trouble is, a lot of these chances we are conceding is because of the stupidly high line he has us playing. We can drop back it back a couple of yards and would benefit IMO.

A better team could have made it a game at least. We're still relentless going forward, despite defensive lapses.

I guess those extra few yards forward is the reason weā€™re able to put so much pressure on and score a sh*t loads of goals.

      Catch 22.
Better strikers from stronger sides will be more likely to o finish those chances.
And our chances may also be defended better against the top sides.

Sort of narrows the gap of our superiority doesnā€™t it ?

We just need to find the right balance.

That was an easy 4-0 win, this team is full of goals, even when we leak a few we usually outscore the opposition, not all the time but most of the time, confident we will be challenging for the major honours come may 😊
