Was always going to be a tough game , their backline was strong and at times we lacked a bit of composure in front of goal when needed. A lot of things didn’t click.

Didn't get to watch the game, but going by the comments, perhaps it was for the best.
Doesn't matter though, the 3 pts in the bag are the most important thing.

Remarkable...always amazes me how that charlatan Vardy pops up in these charts. A flat track bullying, knuckle dragging personality vaccuum moron.

Scored a great pen but overall didn’t have a great game - a good number of times he made the wrong choice on the ball

I guess its a good day. Stevie didnt get humiliated and we got 3 points. Do FSG still think we can go through another  40 games with this squad?

      Job done. Clean sheet kept.

Walt, What would you have changed about our team in this match?

It wasn’t that bad - some of the play was very good , just lacked a bit of composure when taking the chances

Perfect record in CL, second place in PL with best goal differential. Clearly this team needs changes

But he made the difference in a tight game - won the pen then slotted it away.

Still I feel games like this show that Ox has no future with us. He is neither a finesse player nor a box player. He needs space in front of him to run and shoot and we do not play that way anymore.

You really are thick & don’t  understand the game if you think this team doesn’t need quality additions to maintain the course it’s on.

In his head there is. The netspenders are so troubled that even after a 1-0 win they still can’t enjoy it because they’re too busy thinking about FSG.

Never saw the game, will watch the highlights later, glad for the 3 points, on what sounds like a nervy finish 😊

Mad the way I'm seeing people moan about the ref on the socials.

He gave us a pen that was never a pen while not giving them a cert, if you ask me.

      Same again, next time, Stuart.

We had the better chances by and for the most part controlled the game. Villa packed their box, rolled around and wasted time in ways it’d make Simeone shed a tear of joy. It was a bit nervy amd their best chances came courtesy of Alisson but there was no question who deserved to win.

It was certainly very soft one and we got lucky at the other end

But he made a lot of other baffling decisions

Phew, good to get the three points, sitting on 1 nil there for 25 mins was a bit nervewracking.
Was listening on the radio, sounded like we had the better chances, just missed the clinical finish we've had in some recent games.
Ally seems to have had a few wobbles, and nearly gave away a peno with it at 1 nil.
Didn't expect Ox would start in the centre, if in front three think he has to come in from side, but guess Jürgen saw something in training or wanted to try it or whatever.
Think we had a three on one at the end too.
Mo again on the scoresheet :)

At the end of the day, got the 3 points, kept pace with the other two, another clean sheet :) Lot of games coming, roll on the toon

here's a thought. why don't you and the rest of the posse go here https://www.lfcreds.com/reds/index.php/topic,33716.0.html to have your little circle jerk and the rest of us can use this one to talk about the game? granted we won, so that immediately reduces the amount of conversation since people don't have as much to bi*ch out.

He was shocking today. Ouch. The first one it looks like he took a couple steps back, then ran forward but slipped and came inches from bringing the player down which would have been an easy penalty and maybe even a red.

The miscommunication between he and Matip was pretty tough too and i think on another day luck doesn't smile at us and we get a penalty against as there was contact with the player.
