Could have been easier, could have been harder. Inter is no gimme, but no PSG either.

How do you think Inter feel

Yeah that was at Anfield when we won 2-0 after Cordoba(?) had been sent off

The away was 1-0 with that Torres goal, hits it on the turn from the edge of the box

      Both beautiful goals

Think it was Materazzi who got sent off. Sticks in my head because he was getting all sorts of abuse at the time due to the one season he spent at Everton about a decade before 😂

They were some side back then too. Arguably the best team on the planet a that point. Got a feeling they were unbeaten in all comps that season until we met eachother in the knockouts

Happy with the draw. I'd imagine Inter, less so.

We are more than capable and Anfield will be a huge factor.

Will take Inter. PSG would've been a tough draw. If we're in the form we're in now when we hit that tie, would be pretty confident.

I don’t think we should be scared of any of the teams - the toughest other teams are Bayern and City

shall we have a poll on how many dives or Yellow cards there are in the tie

Yeah good idea Walt, I’ll kick it off ……3 yellows for them 1st leg, two second and a red, as for the diving, two 1st leg same second,….

      Us….1 yellow each leg…no reds….no diving….two clean sheets….

….Arrividerci Milano….And can we borrow the Scotland fans song and sing loud & proud…

….”We’re Gonna Deep Fry Yer Pizzas,Deep Fry Yer Pizzas, We’re Gonna Deep Fry Yer Pizzas”

      0-2 1st leg
      4-0 2nd leg

Can't wait for this. To my mind they are about a similar level to Atletico albeit different styles but with probably as much shithousery to contend with. The tables have however well and truly turned when it comes to the relative strength of the teams in Europe. A trip to the San Siro doesn't seem as daunting as it once did (in general; perhaps for us it has never quite has!) and they probably view us as just about the worst possible draw.

Obviously Salzburg would have been the better draw but i don't we have anything to fear from Inter. They were a different proposition with Lukaku and a couple of others that have since been sold.

How farcical was that from UEFA though! Laughable really. I was of the impression that they always run a practice draw before the real thing but perhaps that's no longer the case.

Coming off the back of the F1 yesterday it did have me shaking my head.

Their half decent but we’re miles ahead in quality, they won’t handle our intensity or our pressing for that matter, but we know what Italian sides are like, so expect lots of shithousery, feigning injuries, waving imaginary cards, diving, time wasting,  and of course dangerous tackles, and you never know, but they have history of paying off the ref.

A tough draw but we saw last week against AC Milan that Serie A isn't what it once was so still a tie we start firm favourites in.

Except for Real (who genuinely seem to have our number unfortunately), I think we raise our game exceptionally well against better opposition in the champions league.

I think the occasion will be massive, with the front 3 buzzing to make an impact.

It will be an amazing atmosphere home and away - can’t wait!

F**k Real Madrid. We would swipe Real's arses to kingdom come if we were drawn against those fuckers today and they know it. They only did us over because of a seriously depleted squad last season. And if that c**t Ramos didn't pull Salah's shoulder out of it's socket then the 2018 final could have been a greater contest as well.

They really don't. I'd love us to play them in the next round - we would completely humiliate them.

      Quote from waltonl4
who will compensate supporters who in good faith booked hotel and flights before

What's the point? There's no certainty about any travel atm, let alone in 2 or 3 months time. Basically, when you're not playing at home on the day, this is a tv tournament for most people.

Technically, this is not a very complex draw to take place. Runners up v winners, no ties from the same country and group. It's not rocket science. I've never seen a cup draw declared null and void before at any level before, and I don't believe any of the conspiracy theories out there. They're supposed to run like clockwork, rehearsals are conducted to ensure no margin for error. So there has to be consequences for someone.

I didn't want to draw Inter, the original draw was better. But we have no choice but to get on with it.

The pre klopp years minus the little oasis Rafa brought has left a big scar mentally. People still have that bit of fear dont they.

We should know by now this team need fear nobody at any time or place. This team is elite. Opponents will always fear us more then we fear them.

Yes inter will be no walk in the park. A good side and a huge history, with history comes pride and with pride comes fight. Im expecting it to be tough over both legs. And I expect to be in the quarters all the better for it
