Any chance AFCON being canceled/ postponed due to Covid 19 numbers rising?

Strong possibility. Some rugby teams are stranded out there.

They kept saying head injury, there was no f**king head injury!

Agree, said it at the time, and the ref thought likewise, game is riddled with stops for every little thing now, load of cock, let that be the start of it going back the other way now

Two big strapping lads bumped into each other . One even got up straight away and then went down when he realised we were on the attack

did not think Howe was a c**t but guess what he is. Typical snidy interview from a manager who isnt able to see that it wasnt a head injury.

Peter Walton just made Jenas look an ASS and he still doesnt get it. He was comparing it to last nights game BTn needs to spend a bit more and get proper analysts in

Cole and Jenas! Actually I don't mid Joe Cole although he's not very good at getting his point over succinctly. Jenas though, has to be one of the worst "pundits" on TV. For someone that played at such a high level he consistently makes it clear how little about the game he knows. What's that old saying, oh yes, "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt".

last night a Norwich player went down like he had taken a bullet to the head and the play was stopped. Slow motion showed it hit him on the hand nowhere near his head and he should have been booked for simulation and a freekick given but nothing happened. Players are now using this rule to stop the game when under pressure so Howe Jenas and the othe rmuppet Cole can F**k right off and Jürgen said that but in a very diplomatic way.

Jenas saying Trent came through the back of their man, he was clearly side on. Fraser turns and falls in to him. Trent couldn’t have timed that any better, if you’re saying that’s a foul then players may as well give up trying to get the ball in that situation because it would be impossible not to give away something.

I wonder if in those situations a player should be booked retrospectively if there was no contact to the head and play was stopped. Or would that open up a can of worms?

Wasn't a spectacular performance but a few notable stand out players. The front 3 looked very good in the first half but weren't as threatening in the 2nd half, possibly due to the amount Newcastle dropped off and looked to just contain us.

Konate was very good IMO, like Virgil, he makes everything look so effortless - lots of players panic when they have Saint-Max running at them but he was composed and just shrugged him off the ball with ease. Trent would be my man of the match, could've had better positioning on their goal but ultimately players were caught out due to a poor clearance from Thiago. Trent other than that was good at defending and that challenge on Fraser was timed to perfection, can't believe they looked into it so much over whether it was a foul. Was tidy on the ball, linking up well and then the rocket he let fly to kill the game off. It had that look about the game where you could see them maybe snatching a goal out of nothing like last season so the Trent goal couldn't have come at a better time.

3 vital points and on to the next game, whenever that may be.

F**k sake, MOTD saying about that head injury, if we stop all the time when that happens in the box then you can just go down and hold your head when ever you’re under pressure

Just great being back at Anfield after such a long time. An absolute stonker from Trent as well! Was great seeing Konate in the flesh for the first time as well. He really stood out.

      3 points, delightful.

Not the first time this season the score has flattered the beaten opponent.

Another three points and we march on. Just never felt in danger even giving them a goal start, honestly think any other day we'd blow them away by more than the three we got.  I'll go for Trent for motm, brilliantly timed challenge then a howitzer to finish the game off. Praise needs to go to Bobby for his movement off the ball before the free-kick was taken, dragging away 1 or 2 Newcastle players.
