Konate is looking amazing. TAA best Rb in the world. Salah is the best plauer in the world. Saint Max would look nice in red ( but what was up with the keep ups during the game? ) The Newcastle chic looks like the prem logo. I mean, WTF?????

It was pathetic to watch. Players these days are a bunch of wimps. Christ if you watched football in the 70' & 80's were would some of today's players be.

We really are at the end of days when Joe Cole and Jermaine Jenas are your 'experts' for games like these. They are abject in every way possible.

I wouldn't let them commentate on a primary school football tournament let alone a PL match.

Wow what an interesting thread to read 😂

certainly an interesting view on things when watched on the Telly

      My thoughts

It was a solid performance , bit scrappy at times

Their goal - poor fron Thiago , great finish from Shelvey

Our goal - I was surprised that the ref didn’t blow up when the guy went down , in the ground it looked a clash of heads but the ref imo didn’t see it until Jota took the shot and by then it was too late

In the end it was the right decision but got there in the wrong way but then that’s Mike Dean

Their keeper made some great saves and also some huge blocks

Thought TAA wasn’t that great so surprised he was given Motm - was a stunning strike

Konate was just excellent - what a player he will be

Great to see Keita and Bobby back - Keita such a lovely player

Enjoyed the game - atmosphere at times was a little flat

      What a strike from Trent!

To paraphrase someone else (Xespike's, YT comment):

Mike Dean deserves credit; his run takes the defender out of the game, creating space for Trent's strike.

When they were bunkering in, he had a habit of getting in Henderson, Thiago or Ox's way as well. Some refs drift too far away from the action to make the right call, but he gets too close.

I am so glad that the refs are not falling for this (not all the time anyway).

The shithousery tactics now pull on the pathetic woke world we live in.

Players safety is paramount, so basically sh*t teams and sh*t managers will abuse this - if the opposition attacks just go down holding your head.....

Ive look at the so called head knock a few times now, looks like he banged his back not his head, so ref was right.

Agree, said it at the time, and the ref thought likewise, game is riddled with stops for every little thing now, load of cock, let that be the start of it going back the other way now
I think if a team has an advantage in play then they should let it play out i.e. like in front of the goal like us last night, then stop the game if injury causes concern. Otherwise, every Tom, Dick and Diver will grab their noggin every time the opposing team looks as if they are going to score!

It was a joy and honour to be watching Liverpool in the flesh after such a long time. Two years that have felt comatosed, you become alive once more when you hold the scardlf up and sing along to YNWA. And nothing perks you up more than realising that you are lucky, still lucky, to live and experience this Liverpool team, maybe the greatest we've ever had. The old favourites were all there - Jürgen, Mo, Sadio, Bobby, Hendo, Millie, Robbo, Trent, Ali....it was like none of this COVID sh*t of the last two years had happened. They were still there - in full view doing what they do best. And that's the most comforting, most satisfying thing about being there again last night.

Beauty, greatness and light continues to prevail. Amen
