Can't win them all but this one hurts. A missed pen and follow up then Mane with a close-range miss makes this loss all on us and it could be costly.

When things aren’t going right like tonight. Why do we just persist. Why doesn’t mo swap over to the left, or down the middle, mane on the right 🤷‍♂️
Surely anything that helps pull their defenders around is a plus, but we just continue with the same old, even when the subs come on.

im telling youse lot. Gini and Coutinho back would make us more competitive against City.

To me, this defeat isnt the end of the world. 2 defeats half was through the season is amazing. Not a problem under normal circumstances. Its actually amazing form.

The problem is how UNREALISTIC the competition with City is.

Their squad is so strong, and they are capable of not losing for the next 25 (in all comps).

This is what we are up against.

Missed the game as I had to work tonight.

      What's the verdict then?

They were better than us? We took them lightly or something else guys?

We were poor, despite the stats suggesting we dominated.
We missed a penalty and mane missed one on one but in truth we lacked any conviction against a injury hit Leicester team.

Chance after chance after chance and we couldn't score in a brothel. Maddening.

All we can do is win the next one.

We did not badly either. We were not cynical in front of goal and Vvd was a little too elegant in his defending the winning shot.

It is not over but very difficult now. Come on Reds.

In short Leicester played quite considering they have been poor of late but you lot had a bad day in the office, the consistency wasn’t at the usual standards. Probably been least a draw if you scored the penalty which no doubt would of changed the game.

Exactly midway through the season, 19 of 38 matches.

City have been on a good run of form and we both have lost two matches. We have drawn 5 and they've only drawn 2.

People shouldn't look at last night's performance (which still produced enough chances to win the game) as the norm for what we've done this season.

Six points behind but too early to throw in the towel. Is it a tough challenge? Sure it is, but don't give up at the halfway line.

Carbon Copy of the performances we were putting in around January - March time. Should have been ahead early on, didn't take our chances and then get done with a sucker punch. We huffed and puffed then for 30 odd minutes following their goal but didn't create anything of real substance. They crowded their box and didn't allow us any space in their area. Lots of stray / cleared crosses towards the end.

We went through the motions, like we jyst expected to get the result no matter what..Front 3 were well off, midfield created nothing. Trent caught napping for the goal. Only Matip came out with any sort of performance youd expect to see

if you look at the stats you can convince yourself we played well and should have won easy but looking at the game we seemed to be playing on memory there was no real spark or intent. Jürgen himself looked slightly off colour and was unable to explain the performance but he wasnt happy at all was he. We  have stuck by OX and Naby but how long before we realise it aint going to happen for them. It puts us in the position of really not being able to lose another game and going to on to beat City and Chelsea away. Tall order but this team looks to have run out of ideas and steam.

Thought Kostas played well too but the rest were garbage. It was a shameful team performance easily our worst this season at a very crucial point of the season.

If it was Guardiola he'd drop most of the players for the next game but unfortunately we don't have the squad depth to do so.

Imagine City bringing on James Milner when you're chasing a game?

Love Milly don't get me wrong but it sums up the difference between City's squad and ours which is why they will walk the title from here.

A massive game against Chelsea, win this one, it will be Chelsea struggling. Still not out of the running yet, although the hurdles becoming steeper

      Agree on Kostas done ok

On Milly I initially thought it was a ridiculous call but it waa a like for like of sorts Fab off on the hour after covid plus yellow card concerns

This actually highlights a big issue we have, we really dont do plan b or c in changes, its like for like  very rare we tweak systems or tactics
