Lukaku threw a bomb in the camp today saying he doesnt like it and Chelsea and would never have moved if he had been offered a new Contract and hope to return one day.
I trust the honesty of our lads they know they let us d own and will be focused on performing on Sunday and a good win as a result.

Yea, Lukaku had a lot to say alright, not sure if it'll unsettle anyone on their side w.r.t. the game, but can't hurt

Yes, but Ali and Bobby missed training so speculation focuses on them.

I see the Southampton vs. Newcastle game is already off. Of course ours will be played before a worldwide TV audience, so I suspect it will be hard to call it off. The other side of the "call it off" argument from our perspective is what will be happening when they try to replay it. There's no good answer really.

Over here (you know) they have updated the protocol on how long someone has to isolate, I believe because this variant is more contagious but not as severe in the illness caused - so the NFL and others have updated their response a bit, mainly in shortening the amount of time a player has to be out after a positive test (10 days to 5 days) if he's asymptomatic.

But as has been stated by UncleBob, there's a whole lot of random in which teams get a postponement and which have to play with a weaker team. Obviously it can end up impacting the table massively.

Just went to the funeral of my favorite uncle yesterday, who died of it (he was 88). Have I mentioned that I'm tired of the whole thing?

Would be nice to see our team play on Sunday, if possible.

Yeah will have to be a fair few more guys go down with covid before this one is postponed.

Condolences by the way, sorry to hear about your Uncle :(

Me and my 8 YO got it right now. It's annoying, for sure. But I just did 15 minutes on the heavy bag and a series of push up and sit ups. I'm just a regular 35 YO guy, not a super athlete like Prem players. Obviously it's a case by case bases. However, this version doesn't seem to be nearly as lethal as other strands, especially if your vaccinated. If my wife wasn't pregnant I wouldnt be worried at all..

Well hope you both feel better soon.
I think the EFL have just said you don’t need to test on match day. Which is ok but I wouldn’t test at all now at football clubs. Players should take a test if they are going to see a vulnerable person or something like that but like you said, these are top athletes.

Have a hunch we might see Curtis Jones in the starting XI Sunday.

Doesn't seem we that we have many left standing so you might be right. This game needs postponing. We are all over the place with injury and covid. The title has fallen  into City's lap and id rather play this game when we are healthier.

      We have 7 players out

Nat, Harvey, Taki, Robbo, Divock, Thiago and Adrian

That leaves 17 from the prem league 25 man squad. 3 more with covid leaves 14, assume 2 of those are keepers, so per the rules should this not be off?

And if its a thing we call up young lads to cover ftom outside the 25 man squad why have other sides not done this to?

I'm sure there have been teams which have had less players out injured/covid who have had requested their games called off so unsure why we haven't gave it a go.

Chelsea arent hot at the minute so hopefully we'll be fine.

No chance on that set up, Klopp has said many times he doesn’t like to play with 3 CB’s. With the Covid and injury problems too, we won’t risk it and play 3 of our 4 defenders.

Based on what we kind of know at the moment with availability, reckon it will be along the lines of -

Kelleher, Trent, Konate, Virgil, Kostas, Fab, Hendo, Milner, Salah, Jota, Mane

Subs - Pitagula, Matip, Williams, Gomez, Beck, Jones, Morton, Ox

Imagine if you played or didn’t play based on how well you felt.

Michael Jordan had a legendary performance in the playoffs against the Utah Jazz when he had the flu. If it was Covid he’d have never been “allowed” to play.

If people think there aren’t going to be Liverpool (and Chelsea) players playing in the game that are Covid positive they are kidding themselves. If we are going to play the games to begin with, then you should be allowed to play if you feel like you can. This isn’t Ebola.

What absolute horseshit, what if players have relatives that have conditions, they're not F***ing robots.

Honestly some of the sh*t I'm reading just because certain footballers can't play a game of football.

Squads of 25, three players out with covid and not many injuries is probably why.

Well I suppose we better get used to this.
Covid isn’t going to be eradicated any time soon so football (and society) will be just like it is now. Unless something changes regarding how we live with it.

Will be interesting how many cases there are next winter when the World Cup is about to begin.

its going to be a tough game but I think we play better in tight games. We have seen before not to judge our starting 11 as long as they have a Red jersey on they will find a way.
We need to recognise a lot of these young men are away from their families this time of year and may well be worried or concerned about families back home so maybe poor form can occur from lots of reasons. I think we will see a lot of fight tomorrow from our lads

Going by who’s not been training it gives a pretty good clue as to who it is IMO.

Ali and Bobby both absent from training with a lot of talk about Covid being the reason why. Believe Keita was absent and from Klopp’s interview yesterday, discussing an issue with him and why it’s good to have Jones back now points towards him being ruled out too.
We all know as much as each other, can only base it on what we have seen.
