Lads playing the right way to get Mo the deal he wants

maybe Mo has put them on a cut. If anyone needed convincing just how important Sadio and Mo are then tonight and the next few games are going to prove it sadly .

TAA was awful. And corners in general, do we not practise these? Though not sure why a prem player should need practice to swing a ball in.
Milner/Fab/Hendo, take your pick.   Fabs form for me has fallen off a cliff. Hendo/Milner not much better. Jones needs to start next game.
Taki, very poor. Bob not much better.   Don't think we had a shot on target with all the possession.
      Not bothering with MOTM.
Mo will be pleased, help's him in his bid to have his contract demands met :)
And that was against 10 men!
Need to be better on Sunday.

I’d have chinned every f..kin one of them as the walked down that tunnel and said you didn’t put a shift in yeh don’t get paid . Williams the only one I’d give a penny to there for how he stepped up the rest of them wouldn’t get a carrot .We looked desperate out there for 80 minutes no idea of what to do with the ball .Why keep on playing it though the middle when we’ve got no one there with any vision we’re to play the ball . Last 5 mins they realised oh there’s a trip down to Wembley at stake here . Unf..kinbievable

Taki missed two clear sitters in the second half - methinks Mane or Salah would have converted them - when are they back?

We can lament not having Mo all we want, but the way our midfield played tonight, he'd have had a tough time changing the game by himself. Zero creative play from the midfielders. When Matip has more positive runs with the ball than the rest of your midfielders.....somethin g's wrong.

Even while those two are out I'd sooner see Jones, Chamberlain or even Minamino in the third slot for something different.

Milner is finished at this level and I'm increasingly worried that the skipper isn't far behind him.

He is certainly in a rough patch . I honestly think it doesn't help either of them playing with each other if that makes sense

Not sure when the final is for this but if by the slim chance we make it we really have nothing to offer in the middle of the park that will threaten Chelsea. They will blow us away in the midfield again with or without Salah and Mane.

Fed up with Henderson our fearless leader and captain shying away from accountability and responsibility - no use playing the safe pass to Gomez standing on the edge of their box multiple times.

Agreed as much as we love the lads, James is done and Hendo, as good a Captain as he is, gives us nothing special, just simple safe stuff with the odd shot into Row Z

We just need younger, faster and much more creative midfielders then what we have!

      Was tedious.
Bobby has reached his expiry date for us now. He’s been poor and ineffective for too long. Mane as well, though obviously he has nothing to do with tonight’s performance.

Milner hendo and Fabinho is pitiful every time they start together.

Even our set pieces were terrible. VVD needs to start imposing himself again. He should score more than he does.

Trent has hit a poor run of form.

Still all to play for in the second leg but we need to actually start being creative again.

It's something we've seen from Jürgen before.

He really can be very risk adverse and add that to his loyalty to his players you get games like this.

We'd lots of possession but, Arsenal parked the bus - 9 consistently in front of the goal, hard to play against a team playing for a draw!

Hendo plays his best next to Thiago (or Gini). Why we continue to put Milner next to him I have no idea. Someone would need to ask Kloppo that question.

I'm not ready to toss Hendo just yet because he's had some mighty fine performances prior to Thiago's absence, but if we aren't going to have a Thiago next to him, something needs to change.

I call a spade a spade and he needs replacing. He's had a terrible season. Time to get dropped and replaced with real quality. Thank you for your service to our club.

I usually find a positive but that performance was a worry. Hopefully we can put it down to the after effects of Covid, but our attack was very poor. This is surely further evidence to the owners that we are crying out for attacking back up. In my opinion Minamino is not Liverpool standard.

Don't want to see Milner and Henderson in the same midfield again.

The attackers will get the blame but our midfield was terrible today, no creativity whatsoever.

As soon as Jones came on we looked completely different and even Ox was making a difference.

Minamino should have secured the win, still think we go there and beat them but a performance to forget from the lads.
