Probably not but then you have to ask whats the point in having young talent if they cant get a chance when the others in his position are not playing well

But yes unlikely well see him

If we play like we did on Thursday night. We will lose the game.

Gordon has some way to go before he’s ready to be starting in the league IMO. Starting against the likes of Shrewsbury is one thing, starting in the league is another thing entirely and he’s not ready for it yet, he’s still far too light weight.

Brian I am not.opposed to young players getting a chance. Acquiring a young standout like Gordon clearly can be a big.part of team-building, but I liken it to Harvey before his loan to Blackburn: Kaide is promising but still a bit light for the Premier League. Last season there was a lot of clamor on here for Taki. Some were very critical that he was loaned out. He's shown some flashes of goal scoring ability. I know he missed a sitter vs Arsenal but he's active in the press and with his work off the ball. I doubt Jürgen will jettison him from the starting XI already.

Agree a similar pathway to Harvey is what is needed for him . Think   a season in the championship would be a good start

The problem this season seems to be our variance of outputs. You have great games mixed up with weak games. Reminds me of the pre 2018 time when we were a rollercoaster team.

City chavs today. If chavs win, we win our two games in hand starting with Brentford tomorrow, then beat shitty, we will only be two points behind. It’s doable !

If you look at the stats - especially compared to City - our problem is not to score (City 53, Liv 52), it is we concede too much (City 13, Liv 18).

Yes but we had Salah and Mane on the pitch for most of that. We also had Thiago and to a lesser degree Keita on the pitch to help with creativity.

Without all those players it's much easier to play a low block against us so we need to tweak something rather than go out and do the same thing we did on Thursday.

Just when we need Divock he’s crocked, f***in Sod’s law, I reckon he’d be the perfect foil for Jota playing through the middle with Bobby sat in behind, with Curtis & Alex supporting and Fabinho as DM, we’d have a nice balance about us without  the usual suspects, so a flip of a coin for me between Taki & young Kaide, very tempted to go with the young man and just tell him to have fun, would probably have to have Bobby through the middle with Jota left side to accommodate, we’d be a bit lightweight centrally but the bee’s have lost a bit of their buzz and won’t be as open as the away fixture, well , i fookin hope not, or we could be as stuck as sticky the stick insect stuck to a sticky bun !!

Incidentally, anyone any idea how far away Harvey is of his comeback?

Back to tomorrow’s game Jürgen will probably go with Taki again but you never know….

On Harvey, don’t think he’s going to be rushed, but I believe he should be training full time very soon, and maybe, just maybe some February/March appearances?

So that theory has gone to sh*t then, Chavs never even offered a decent argument.
Just have to keep winning our games and hope for a bit of luck.

Thought Chelsea’s philosophy was completely wrong in a game they had to win, should have pressed from the beginning instead of waiting till they were One nil down

Is moving our game to 4.30 to be the live game a viable option at this stage?

                  Ally
      TAA Matip VVD Robbo
        Hendo Fab Jones
          AOC Bob Jota

Bit of a struggle putting that lineup together.
TAA poor last time out, but hard to select Neco ahead of him in the starting XI.
      Ally, Matip, VVD no brainers.
Robbo, you could switch with Kostas, not much in it based on form/delivery.
Hendo and Fab haven't been great, but based on experience would expect them to start.
Jones surely has to start this one.
Up front, would prefer to start Jota in the middle, but Bob isn't used to coming in from the side, so he has to be in the middle.
      Then Jota will start.
Taki for me has been poor in the PL. Gordon against Brentford, don't see it. Would start Origi but he won't be fit. So based on ruling guys out, would probably just about go with AOC ahead of Taki. Full disclosure, I'd have sold AOC 2 years back, so it's not my ideal choice. But who knows what Jürgen will do.

      Need the win. Fingers crossed...

City have won the league but it would still be good to win a few games in a row and get some pride/form back for the cups

Our wafer thin squad and skint approach means we ain’t going tO be signing any new players until this lot drop dead

great thing about football is the Arsenal game Thursday is done finished so its back to optimism again and a victory at Anfield.
The league has gone but we can at least let them know we are there if they slip up which all teams can. No idea on the line up Jürgen has got some thinking to do
