What are you dribbling on about money for ?!

The abuse he is getting is the sort of abuse that Gini was talking about that he used to get from social media fans - twatter and now instagram is full of them and most of them from abroad , all have jumped on the bandwagon in recent years and think it’s ok to abuse the players when results don’t go well

If you think they're his "own fans" then you really need your head examined. These are the same guys that abused Toney, Zaha, Rashford etc....thankfully a few were exposed and they were found to not have any links to any 1 club, they're just racists who bet on football and then turn their losses to anger which leads us to situations like this.

Why do you think it's always the same emojis of certain animals? Why do you think it's always aimed at mixed race/black players? Do the working out.

The game pivoted with his error....He knows it...we all know it....think of how you're feeling now and multiply it by a factor of ten thousand...that's how he feels. These kinds of things happen. I hope he can learn from it and move on.

What are you finding hard to understand Lip? I've just literally told you how this works if you bothered reading any of it.

There are people out there that bet on football, like England to win the Euro's for example and they use instances like Saka and Sancho missing pens or giving away cheap goals as a way to jump on Insta, hide behind fake accounts and post whatever they feel to make themselves feel better or release some anger for the money they just lost. Turns out these dudes weren't even English!!! Yet we label them as "England fans" being responsible, they weren't.

So you believe anyone that throws abuse at player on social media is doing it because they lost money on bets 🤦‍♂️

This kid has been a breathe of fresh air.  Such a wonderful break through season especially put in the most difficult games and situations but he has come through it.  Today he made a big mistake but he carried on and was pivotal in our winning the penalty.  For those and I agree with AllmightyRed there must be some sort of serious addicts whether gambling or other to actually abuse such brilliant prospect in his very early career.   Because fans whether they are from Liverpool, Merseyside, Uk, or any other part of the world surely would appreciate the position this youngster is playing and the difficulty of that position,  one mistake like today cost us 2 points, in other positions its not like that apart from goalie.

Except they aren't his own fans though. They sit behind private accounts pretending to be when in reality they just blame him for costing them a bit of money.

If I put £50 on Chelsea to beat Sheffield today and saw they lost and then subsequently went to create a fake account with Poch as my profile picture and go onto Caicedo's Insta to give him a sh*t tonne of abuse because I saw he gave away a pen or something, does that now make me a Chelsea fan? Because that's the kind if people you have in this world, they hide behind fake accounts to avoid punishment for their own gratitude.

F***ing losers need to get a life.

It seems it’s standard social media fan behaviour- Gini highlighted about our “fans”

Sad reality is they exist, in their numbers too. Well I say numbers, there's what 2billion football fans/followers out there and there's maybe 20000 or something that'll resort to that level of abuse. Social media gives them to platform to create as many fake accounts as they like and post whatever abuse they want long enough for people to see it before eventually it gets removed by admin.

Poor pass, but excellent finish from Ratboy, and it changed the game.
Was a factor in the result, but we created a shed load of chances and didn't take them.
      Will learn from it.
We did not learn nothing happened the same in the cup and carried in the league were we got it over the line but missed load of chances in those league games

Mistake aside, he was poor with the ball yesterday. On several occasions he was clueless with what to do with it. The mistake stemmed from that.

      He needs to wisen up.

He did have a horrid game but he has immense potential and I put the blame on klopp
      Playing him

Why play konate the game before and not rest him for todays game! Why not start with Gomez who has been doing so well this season

He should be 4th choice playing in the Europa learning his craft

Starting Bradley and Quansah was a disaster waiting to happen away at a place like old Trafford imo

Gutted for him because it was a dreadful mistake in an otherwise superb display. Trent had a bit of a nightmare in 2018 at Old Trafford. Like Trent, he won't look back on it.

Meant that Quansah will learn from it, every player makes mistakes, just file that one away, and move on.

If anything, I am more impressed with him after yesterday. It was a terrible mistake, but far more experienced players have done similar in the past -Alisson to name one (more than once). The way he reacted though, was impressive. He went on to win numerous challenges after that, including in a couple of dangerous counter attacks he killed off, seemingly unperturbed. He's class. sh*t happens occasionally when you play high risk from the back.

Oh please don't remind me of that time, we had a virtually a whole defence which would just go into panic mode as soon as one of them made a mistake they were all a bag of nerves.

But back on the topic this guy can make a mistake and shake it off which for his age and experience in playing at this level is amazing.
