Gakpo? The guy that didn't score in the league or CL until November? That Gakpo? The season started in August.

Diaz has a goal and an assist more than Gakpo in the league and has also won more pens, but apparently Gakpo's been very good and Diaz utter trash? How does that work out then, because he can float some nice crosses right into the keepers' hands? Do me a favour.

      It’s performances

I really don’t think Diaz has improved in the last 2 seasons

      Either way

We should be looking to replace Nunez, jota and  Diaz

The question is do we want to keep him for another 3 or 4 seasons?

If we don't then we should look to sell because he does have a certain market value this summer. The choices are to sell him or sign him up to a new deal because you wouldn't want to be losing him for nothing.

I'd be inclined to sell, think he's bluffed his way through several seasons now and after a good start to this one has reverted back to his old self.

The problem at this club this summer is we have the 3 out of contract players who could all leave and Darwin who we also need to ship out.

It will be a hard summer for a club like ours that prefers to change the squad slowly over time to now start buying and selling at the rates of Chelsea and United.

To do it and do it properly I'd like to see us get stuff done early so Arne has them for pre season. With no int. Tournaments.

This Summer any coach who can get his full side and work with them early will be at an advantage.

I'd sell if we can get a replacement which I'm not sure we can. But he cannot be our first pick LW or CF, ever. Solid-ish sub at best, maybe? Although, truth be told, if Jota ever recovers some form I think he's both a better LW and CF.

I just don't rate him at all. Granted, he's somewhat technically gifted and an absolute workhorse, but he consistently blunders his decisions and his final balls are almost guaranteed to be gash. Never felt less confident in a player when carrying the ball on a break. Three or four more years might actually end me

Bench player isn't he but not sure his heart is fully in it anyway.

Will be after a pay rise on his current deal and probably be sulking if he doesn't get the games. He's not my absolute priority to ship out just on the basis that Mo and Darwin are probably leaving.

Sorry to tell you it's pipe dream to have Jota great form back as he is older and older and sure as sun rise in the morning he would injure before got enough games to get back to his best.
So at LW for me Diaz is still better than Jota.

Players such as Diaz and Nunez almost never improve or never change their playing style/trait after couple of years at our club. This sometimes just a good example of manager stubbornness like Klopp said he like to train players instead of sign the new ones. Sad that something cannot train. Sometimes replace a wrong player is only single choice.

Worth a watch just waiting for the  ¡GOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!

It’s nice to hear that. It lasted for more than 10 seconds. Why can’t our commentators do likewise? It’s a race to see who can hold his breath the longest.

I was a big fan of the intro to Football Italia on C4/Bravo back in the day, 'GOLAZZO!' if anyone remembers that

He’s a really easy sell for me because he’s one of those that European teams will overpay for.

Played well when he came on today. Played well 2nd half wednesday as well. Looked more dangerous in mere minutes than our front 3 had all game.

      Must start next week.

Added a different dimension to what we saw in the first 55mins, yes he'll frustrate but he always looks to inject that extra bit of pace which is what you need in games where you're chasing goals.

Besides his goal, the cross on his weaker foot to Mo was the only real bit of quality we saw in the final third.

Not a fan of Arne's selection there, especially after his performance in the derby.

Played his best game for months against Everton and instead of keeping the rhythm going, Slot benches him and starts a completely off form and underdone Gakpo in the starting line up.

Just don't understand that at all.

Gakpo was anonymous and the minute Luis came on, we sparked into action.

Except he doesn't really rotate anyone else does he? Maybe Kostas for Robbo but Kostas hasn't started a game in what feels like forever. Harvey, Endo and Fede all yet to start a game, Quansah has started like 3 games all season, Bradley not much more & Darwin has 1 start in the last 14 games which game against Southampton.

We'd get big money and I don't honestly think he's that good.

On his day he's a tricky effective player but far too inconsistent
