Be interesting to see how much he features between now and the end of the season. Typically players have a period with us where they learn the system, demands etc before really playing. Obviously been a few exceptions to that.

Love the bit at 0:40. Speed, strength, and made the right choice (most strikers would have gone for goal). It's just lucky for us his partner wasn't as good.

Looks like exactly the type of talented footballer we sign then turn into one of the best. Hope his trajectory follows that of Bobby, Mane, Salah and Jota.

Looks an excellent signing. Always felt that it was a wide player we needed this window, rather than a CM. We are now absolutely loaded with options down the left hand side. But we know from his first season that Mane can play down the right, so we've got him and Mo as options over there now too (as well as Gordon). We are going to look very scary to defenders over the rest of this season.

Portuguese league and all those usual caveats but that's impressive numbers.

Excited to see him play, and one bonus of still being in all the cups, is that we have a chance to see him sooner than usual, as we know Klopp likes to bed them in first.

Welcome to the club Luis. Looks quick and direct and should provide alot of chances and hopefully score goals too.

Without trying to dampen down things ... I hope this doesn't mean one of mane or salah or God forbid both going. I know sadio hasn't been offered new terms (that we know of).

Keeping both and adding Luis really makes us stronger up top. No issue with origi and minamino being moved on. But Mo and Sadio must be retained.

So much much to play for this season so a big opportunity for him to help us bring home some silverware.

If Jürgen wanted to play Mane and Diaz in the same team then it'd make more sense to play Mane in midfield. Mane could play that position no probs in my opinion (he drops back in there quite a lot anyway if he's not getting the service up front) - in fact it could work pretty well. But Jürgen will be in no rush over Diaz, probably use him in the cups and off the bench for a while.

Watching the classic YouTube compilations he seems to be able to turn sharply from his left on to his right. Low back lift, powerful shots, bit of pace, strength and dribbling.

The stats say he is good at winning back the ball too

Low back lift not that controversial to be fair lads. The opposite of a high back lift. He shoots hard and low from almost nothing getting shots off before he's closed down and keepers are set. Numerous examples in the goals he's scored.

Don't like to mention the name but Uniteds latest prisoner used to do it. Was a trait of Dani Sturridge too.
