Some of the stuff said about him was poor

He was clearly affected by the issues off the field as well as the injury the season before but he never stopped working for the team

Tbh I thought he was fine acted his dad came back

Did he impact games? Yes, did he work hard? Yes, I think everything was there but one thing was missing was end product

If he adds that into his game then he becomes one of the best in the world with ease imo

He’s started very very well, let’s hope he can keep it up

I think his contract ends end of next season in 2027? So the club will likely wait until this time next year to keep him on his current wage.

If he keeps this form going and is consistent , which has been the issue with him, and is still turning in performances, goals, assists after xmas then his agent should be banging on the door for a new deal, if hes not already.

The club however will let it linger and he will enter the final year of his deal and the usual saga will unfold.

The 55k per week? I doubt this is true. He will be earning more than that in my opinion.

He was on like 10-15k a week at Porto and he hasn't yet had a new deal in the 2.5 years he's been here, it was brilliant we could bring him on 55k a week to begin with, I thought that's maybe what Nunez should've been on too considering he was on 37.5k euros at Benfica.

Ok maybe not the same but like 80-90k.

Delighted with how he's started this season but he's got to kick on now.

Last season was a similar start with a couple of quality goals against Chelsea and Bournemouth.

This is definitely the player I thought we were getting.

He has been our best player in a lot of games throughout his time here, especially the games where we have struggled and needed fight like the league cup finals and even the depressing game against Everton at the end of last season.

The end product hasn’t always been there but right now he is on a hot streak and looks a more decisive player. He had a decent start to last season, but he looks more complete at the start of this season imo and definitely more explosive.

With his attributes combined with his new-found end product, I think he can carry us to some big wins this season. He has a Suarez/Mane level mentality. He could become the best LW in the league for sure. On current form he is. Please try and keep it up!

Could be his best season yet if he keeps playing like today. Looked like a man on a mission. Really pleased for him.

He's just oozing confidence as the games go on and it's fantastic to see, he's playing so freely and scoring for fun.

Love the guy, love watching him play. Always have, whether he's scoring/assisting or not.

Leaves it all out on the pitch every single time, we're rarely ever tested down our left side with him and Robbo....he has to take a lot of credit for that, a tad disappointing when he came off.....thought he could've been left 10mins longer in search for his first hattrick but ok it wasn't to be.
