Diaz was very good when he came on, the least he will give you is maximum effort with a few mazy dribbles although I'm not sure how he didn't score when Darwin put it on plate.....needed to hold his run a touch.

Darwin played it behind him or Darwin played the perfect pass but Diaz's brain was too quick for his feet (or is it the other way around?)  pretty stoned here.

It doesn't really matter as we won anyway but for me he just needed to slow down and check his run as he was almost looking to go beyond the man and ball.

His conversation rate this season is amongst the best in Europe I believe.

He bagged goals in the games vs West Ham and Lecister City which is a positive sign to me after he cooled off for a couple months. Seems like Gakpo picked up when Diaz dropped off though Diaz is the one that has been playing out of position, which has allowed Gakpo to shine.

He did struggle vs United as he couldn't find or create much room with United compacting the middle.

The hope is between him, Gakpo and Jota that as the season goes on that at any given time one or two of them are producing as I would expect Salah to start most games, these three will be rotated based on form and fitness.

Telling you this guys form is a real concern.

Not sure what contract he's after but selling the inconsistent sod might be a better choice.

Nothing will ever change with Diaz. He will never put the numbers up. Good lad, tries hard, good player. But no more than good.

If he wants to goto barca id let him go.

Diaz is still a bit hot and cold for me. Not sure he has developed a great deal from the player we signed 3 years ago.

I can see why there was a bit of talk about a winger because it's not impossible to see a scenario where Diaz and Nunez might leave in the same window (and of course Salah still hasn't signed a new deal).
