The feel good factor a couple signings can make is amazing, especially when it's young quality like this.

For such an attack minded midfielder, he doesn’t slack on his defensive duties by the look of it.

looks like a deal is happening, with us loaning him back to them for rest of this season.

Yeah, there seems to be too much noise for it to not go through now. It also makes a tonne of sense for both sides and the player:

      1) Carvalho gets to stay and play first team football for another few months, which is great for him.

      2) Fulham would get to keep the player for the promotion push, and guarantee themselves slightly more money than they'd likely otherwise get via tribunal. They also avoid the risk of getting negligible compensation should Carvalho decide to move abroad in the summe. Going to tribunal would be arduous and it would take much longer for the money to start coming in (for reference the Elliott fee took over 6 months in court to resolve). Negotiating a fee now instead of letting it go to tribunal also opens up the possibility for them to include a sell-on fee, unlike the Elliott situation.

      3) From Liverpool's perspective we'd also be avoiding tribunal while securing the player 6 months early to box that off the to-do list and ensure that the player won't have his head turned by other clubs ahead of becoming a free agent in the summer.

All-in-all it seems to make too much sense from all angles for it to not go through. Assuming of course that the player himself wants to join Liverpool, but there's as yet been no indication that he doesn't.

Mixed reports on twitter, some saying terms agreed and medical today, others saying Fulham haven’t accepted the offer and hold it off until summer. Just a guessing game it seems.

Aye just read some of those tweets.

I cant see why fulham wouldn't take the deal now, get some cash and keep the player on loan.

If they wait till summer, its a tribunal they will probably lose money.

Been lurking on Fulhams forum and on twatter. Rumors are that fulham want more, and we arent willing to meet that. Seems like that the lad is staying at Fulham, thats too bad because the clubs who are willing to offer ridiculous fees will be after him in summer.

Don't want to get involved in another tribunal apparently  when European clubs can get him much cheaper

Idiots would rather get £6m after a drawn out trubunal. I hope they don't get promoted. He'll end up at Dortmund.

They won’t even get tribunal money if he ends up going abroad. Just a 500k or so development fee.

Sounds like it goes to a tribunal in the summer so that's why LFC are trying to push this through now, to escape that option. Doesn't sound like this one's going to happen though.

Quality player from what I've heard. You'd think for the sake of an extra couple of million or whatever they're haggling over we would get it over the line.

They’re probably haggling over the sell-on value and performance targets that are due to Fulham. That’s the only thing I’ll haggle over as a seller. The rest are unimportant as I’m going to lose the player anyway.

Sounds like the fee has been agreed but the sticking point is the player and his reps wanting assurances about playing time. IF that's true, I can see this being a no go. Surely Klopp isn't going to make any guarantees like that to a kid.

Don't know if that's true... but if true they can go F**k themselves if that's their thinking. Never going to get to the top if you think at that age you can swan into one of the best teams in the world and get minutes under your belt from the get go.

Always take what you read in the media with a grain of salt, but:

"It is claimed that the two clubs are ready to agree a deal over Carvalho but that the final decision rests with the Portugal-born teenager himself.

Carvalho knows that if he were to leave on a free in the summer, he might be able to command higher wages with the likes of Borussia Dortmund and Porto said to be interested.

And those clubs may also be able to offer greater guarantees of first-team minutes next season with plenty of competition in Liverpool's midfield and attack despite Jürgen Klopp's willingness to give games to young players."

He hasn't got any reps as such, apparently he has no agent and his parents deal with that side of things. To which that's probably a worse idea than having an agent because if this is being held up over assurances about playing time, they probably aren't seperating the personal and business side of the relationship with him and don't understand it's not like being at a team like Fulham where it is far easier to get game time.
