Ibrahima Konate is named in defence at San Siro, while Thiago Alcantara and Harvey Elliott come into midfield.

Diogo Jota returns in attack, with Joel Matip, Jordan Henderson, Naby Keita and Roberto Firmino making way from the starting XI deployed at Burnley on Sunday.

Elliott is an interesting call. Huge occasion for the lad. Needs to do both sides of the game well. I think he's earnt it.

Brilliant team, exchange Matip for Konate and that's our strongest. And it's arguable, just shows how strong our squad is now.

Not the Semi Final but we are playing a last 16 game away to Inter Milan and he's starting ahead of our club captain with a fully fit team so yes, I believe even more so that Klopp would be more than prepared to play Elliott in the SF against City for example.

Fully justified on Harvey's part that and in my opinion the strongest midfield we can field. If you can't start him now, then when? He's clearly good enough so that's all there's to it.
