Concerning game. Inter was the better team and could have won 2-0 easily. We basically made 2 goals out of 2 shots on target. Remembers me of our loss back then at Barca (3-0) and we know how it turned out. So this is not over, Inter looks for real, therefore the concern. I do not wanna read too much into it though. Just move on.
Positive mention: Elliott. And he will only get better.
Ey?! The first half was even and both teams had their chances. The quality of finishing was poor from both teams, just 2 shots on target all game and it was our 2 goals.
Inter started the 2nd half the better team but as soon as we took the lead they only created another couple of chances, final part of the game we seemed to be camped in their half. Their spell of dominance in the second half was equalled out by our spell. All in all it was an even match that could have gone both ways. But even still, this was a far better performance than the one we put in against Burnley and it was against one of the strongest teams in Europe and current Serie A champions but yet some people are talking as if we got battered for 90 minutes.
If it hits the post it’s not a goal because it doesn’t go it, hence off target
This. The target is between the posts and the crossbar, how can anything outside of that possibly be on target? If the ball is going in but saved by the keeper then it's obviously on target, but how can it possibly be classed as on target if the ball hits the woodwork and comes back out?!
