Saw the whole game today, and going it to watch it again now while drinking a couple of beers. I said it twice while the game was going on, and i will say it again. Although Thiago didnt score one today. He was the reason everything changed. We started keeping the ball. Thiago was finding the right pass everytime. even a simple sideway pass has a reason behind it. to open up space or something else.
He has become our most important midfielder imo, we just need to keep him fit.

Even at 1 nil down, I wasn't massively concerned as we still created chances  but for the second game running Jürgen made the right calls and we overwhelmed Norwich

We still need to look at our game, just focus on winning and not look on their results, its still their call

We got there in the end and when we went more direct they couldn't handle it. The city result makes that a lovely day.

      Race back on, perhaps?

So you’re at the match but the first thing you do is come on here and start calling people out as soon as it finishes. You sad little person.

Which is funny considering how much time he has spent complaining about lack of quality depth, not replacing Gini and all the garbage he and his crew spew whenever we have dropped points.

      The hypocrisy is amazing.

Just rewatched the game. We really controlled this game even when it was 0 -0. They had a couple of forays forward but it isn't a state crime for a team to have a shot on goal against us. We created far more but couldn't get the decisive finish. Diaz came close, Tsimikas had a bad miss, Sadio, Mo and Ox all missed decent chances.

Then they scored a very fortunate goal. Ox was closing down the shooter, it hits Matip and completely wrongfoots Alisson. Again, it happens.

Seems like when the subs came on we stretched the field better and that's what led directly to the equalizer. Hendo hits it out wide for Tsimikas who finds Sadio in a dangerous and then an acrobatic finish. The 2nd, one moment the ball is in Ali's hands and the next Mo has the ball in front of their goal. What a spectacular effort on Mo's part to sustain the chance and finish it off. World class. By the time of the third they were all over the place defensively and Lucho makes a great run - "He's been brilliant since he's come in" Hendo said afterward - and Hendo plays a great ball. Looks like our new signing can finish alright!

Just one other thing re our personnel today. Playing games ever 3-4 days and rotation will be required. Thiago's only drawback since he's been here is being a little fragile, so he CANNOT start every match just because some of us want him to. Of course there's no doubting his quality but Jürgen has to be smart about it.

That Ox isn't Thiago or JoeGo isn't Trent doesn't mean they have no role to play in this team and I guarantee you Jürgen will still be backing them to be an important part of the team as we pursue what now seems a very plausible fightback for the Premier League title (plus three other trophies).

Looking forward to the next one.

Didn't look good from about page 24 of the Chelsea 2-2 thread.

11 points behind with only a game in hand.

We've been 100% since then whilst City have dropped 5 points.  But still the best part of 40 points to play for.  There could even be enough games left for the City game not to be the decider (although it does look pivotal at the moment).

Do think a point I made very relevant around the legs . With a full squad now (apart from this game) and rotating more it has definately helped

Simply try to win every game, picking up as many points as possible, there is still plenty to play for at this stage of the season !

I was furious that game with how we gave up a 2 nil, not sure I gave up on the league then, afraid to look now 😂😂

Wasn’t able to watch the game, just watched highlights though, it’s well and truly on for sure now. City will be feeling the pressure and it’s even better that Pep literally predicted this in his interview the other day. Keep us dreaming Redmen!

And Palace. Teams need to just give it a go instead of lying on their back and saying come on boys show me what you got.

No mate because now if we win every match left, we will be Champions. We do not need anymore favours. Just one game at a time.

      Great reaction to going behind.
Diaz with his first goal, Gomez and Divock getting minutes for the first time in a while are big positives that will help with the rest of the season

Me too pal, I've said it for years. They are a great attacking threat so dont just let them have the ball in your own half it's madness as a game plan.
