Potentially another 22 games until May. Each game will feel like a knock-out game. What a treat for us all next 3 months.

And we are just the club to make the 22 games count in our favour   . ,We fear no other club, no wonder we are known as the MIGHTY REDS.

Gave Matip MOTM.. deserved it for his effort..

      You meant this???
He and Mo already knew what to do when he made the pass. We were well prepared and that's brilliant.

Mad to have 5 class options up front. Then Origi on top.

Not sure how long that can carry on but it helps us for this season as we challenge for 4 trophies.

I don't think this position suits Mane at all. Been missing.

Yet delivers two goals. How lucky.

If we have any ambition left, we now need quality cover for these players. We need to buy better backups to improve on our squad. We need a couple of perfect backups (which I do not even know how to define...). :lmao:

Hendo for Jones, thought Curtis had a good game tonight and could have had a couple

Correct. No chance the captain wont start.

Klopp will go with this for the final.

      ------------- Kelleher -------------
      - Trent - Matip - VVD - Robbo -
      ------------ Fab -----------------
      -- Hendo --------- Thiago -----
      --- Salah - Mane - Diaz -------

5 subs if I'm correct, so plenty options to change it and give the fringe lads last 20 or something.

or he could throw a total curveball and start loads of the lads that have played previous rounds, then bring the big hitters on 2nd half. ;D.

I have to believe Hendo will start Sunday. Then the question is whether Jota could make the XI.

They won't start but I do wonder if Tyler Morton and Kaide Gordon might be in the quad. Nexo Williams and Conor Bradley would be the others but Neco is away on loan now.

If that last night wasn’t a statement of intent then I don’t know what is ! I had a feeling that we would see a goal fest and I did say in the pre match post, sometimes in a season we put in a particular performance that after when you look back on it you say to yourself that was the moment, a few weeks back we were written off by plenty of the so called know alls, including some of our own, but now look at us, a few weeks back we still weren’t at our best but we’re still picking up the points, and we were 12 points behind Citeh,

Last night for me was the point where everything clicked into gear, Leeds were no push over’s they played the best that their abilities would allow, but we made it look easy, it wasn’t, Bielsa’s Leeds know only one way of playing, once you get around that then they are quite vulnerable, that’s what happened last night, at 3-0 HT virtually game over, start of  second half I thought we were too slow, Leeds had spell where I was thinking if these score it could get a bit ropey, but we stepped it up a gear and that was that, there’s been plenty said already on how we played and who was motm, to me they all were, I don’t think we could single anyone who had a bad game,

Timing is everything in this league and I think Jürgen has it spot on, still active in 4 competitions when we are approaching our optimum is as perfect as your gonna get, of course we can improve but we’ll hold back a little for the finals we are bound for and already in, I kind of hope now things settle for a while, I want us breathing down their neck’s, I want them to feel the pressure they are now under, of course it would be brilliant  if they were to lose further points, but right now all we need do is win every game left and we’re Champions, and we are more than capable of doing just that,

I mentioned before that we are the Mentality Monsters, we know better than anyone else in this league how to manage a run of wins, 12 victories away from No20, and I think we can manage that, we certainly have the right attitude and the mental strength to carry it through, we’re not the ones under pressure, Pep and his players are, for me staying 3 behind is the perfect situation, until we meet in April, that game, may or may not be the title decider, I think Citeh will drop more before it, but that game will see us go top and stay there, that’s how I see it panning out, but we’ll see, Jürgen’s extra pumps was telling, without saying it I think he knows now we have the momentum  !!

Brilliant win, Brilliant situation to be in, and I believe that we’re kings of our own destiny!!

I’m not sure any of the young lads who featured in the previous rounds will be used on Sunday, aside from Kelleher, they have done their jobs, and obviously have done extremely well and deserve all the plaudits heading  their way, but this is a final and one I think Jürgen will want at all costs now that we’re there,

I’ll be surprised he doesn’t field this X1…

                                     Kelleher
                       Trent.  Matip. Virgil  Robbo
                         Hendo. Fabinho. Thiago
                         Salah.     Mane.    Diaz

…..possible that Konate plays instead of Matip and if Jota is fit enough he could play through the middle with Mane replacing Diaz, other than those I don’t see many alternatives, 5 subs are allowed in this comp so we can use our bench as we see fit, Chavs could be missing two key elements but are still a formidable force and a tough nut to crack, so we will need our best and most experienced players.

I think last night was the point where all players hit their true form. That’s gonna see us through to the end of the season now. They knew they had the ability, now they’ve increased the belief.
Think any finals have to be your strongest side.
Curtis and Elliot don’t have the defensive discipline for such a big game.
As always, get it won first.

Bang on Billy. Most lethal attack, strongest defenders and a midfield packed with skill snd energy.

Do we intend to win it, or just turn up for a day out 🤷‍♂️

Have to go all out for the win, the elation will help us on to the next one !

Seen a couple of reports pop up to say Jota is expected to be fit, either way i think we'll start with the same front 3 as last night.

Being honest, I don't think we actually played the perfect game.  I think they had a couple of gears spare, which is worrying for other teams.
