He's not gone, only one ticket came up. My manager from work gone instead. A good long-standing Irish Red from Cork .

When it comes to finals, we don’t really do things the easy way. This century, a lot of our wins have come on pens, or we’ve won finals when we haven’t played particularly well (Arsenal in 2001, Tottenham in 2019). I’m not counting The Community Shield when it comes to this list.

      2001
      League Cup
1-1 vs Birmingham - won on pens

      FA Cup
2-1 vs Arsenal in a smash and grab

      UEFA Cup
5-4 win in extra time vs Alaves

      Super Cup
      3-2 vs Bayern

      2003
      League Cup
      2-0 vs Man United

      2005
      League Cup
3-2 loss in extra time vs Chelsea

      Champions League
3-3 vs Milan - won on pens (definitely didn’t do it the easy way here)

      Super Cup
3-1 win in extra time against CSKA Moscow

      Club World Cup
      1-0 loss bs São Paulo

      2006
      FA Cup
3-3 vs West Ham - won on pens

      2007
      Champions League
      2-1 loss vs Milan

      2012
      League Cup
2-2 vs Cardiff - won on pens

      FA Cup
      2-1 loss vs Chelsea

      2016
      League Cup
1-1 vs Man City - lost on pens

      Europa League
      3-1 loss vs Sevilla

      2018
      Champions League
      3-1 loss vs Madrid

      2019
      Champions League
      2-0 win vs Tottenham

      Super Cup
2-2 vs Chelsea - won on pens

      Club World Cup
      1-0 win vs Flamengo

I’d like it to be a bit more straight forward today, but a trophy is a trophy, and winning one in dramatic circumstances is always fun.

I’m going to make a prediction: Bobby is out and Jota looks to be a doubt, so it might be time for Origi to step up once again. He will score from the bench in a 2-1 extra time win.

No debate for me Kelleher should and will start the game.

After that it's full strength for me and I include the skipper despite a poor season as last three games or so he's been back to approaching his best.

      Kelleher

      Trent     Matip     Virgil     Robertson

      Fabinho

      Henderson    Thiago

      Salah         Mane         Diaz

I agree, but our top 3 scorers this competition have been Taki (4), Jota (3) and Divock (2), so they're the main reason we're in the final. Wonder if Jürgen will give any of them a start (assuming Jota is healthy).

Would add Naby to that without his introduction and Jota against Leicester we wouldn't be here . Expect Jota on bench along with others who will all start mid week

      Good point on Naby.

It will be interesting to see what the boss does. Still got another 30+ minutes before lineup gets released. The waiting sucks.

      Great point actually.

Only reason I didn't include Jota to start was fitness.

Maybe Taki deserves a start as we in reflection.

Think we'd go as strong as possible despite Taki and Origi's goals that have gotten us this far. Chelsea will be full strength and that will be a vast step up in quality compared to what we've faced on the way the final.

Not ruling out either playing some part of the game, especially if Jota isn't ready but it's a final and given the opponent, there can't be any messing about. Starting Taki and/or Origi would be a massive downgrade on the ones they would be coming in for, but that said, if one of them was to start, it would almost certainly be Origi.

Nah - full strength, we haven’t won enough under Jürgen for how good we’ve been, don’t want to take anything for granted.

Not full strength though with Kelleher playing
