The front three and Ox/Ketia in the middle were were flat the whole game (especially Elliott who was barely was in the game on the left)There was a lot of poor ball and touches which slow the attack down which was a shame because Forrest left a lot of space to attack and we won the ball in a lot of really good positions.

Comes to cup competition it is about getting the name into the hat and now look forward to another match vs Citeh

      Job done, end of

Been way off our best for ages yet

      1 point off top
      quartrs of champ lge
      FA cup semis
      league cup in the bag

All were short of is lads with synthesisers and lads with mad hair making boss tunes

it seems an age since we took a team apart (not counting the Leeds game) but we have developed into a winning machine just getting the job done scoring goals and keeping clean sheets. The mentality monsters are back in business.

Another game we didn’t play well but won, long may it last. Think we look a little tired and could do with a break about time City got a hard draw

For a cup game against lower opposition with their tesm and crowd right up for it - I 'll be honest I thought we did ok. Taken all our chances and it would of been a lot more resounding.

Anyway manc scruffs in the semis, bring peanut head and his gang of shithouses on.

Maybe that means we can go up a gear - hope so!

Not sure my old heart can stand too many more games like that.  :scarf:

Well it's going to have to, because there will be plenty more of those games during the run in. Still, its better than having only the release of next year's new kit to look forward to at this stage of the season, as has been the case in the past.

Everyone from Kenny to Houllier couldn't do it, but Jürgen did. The 38 years of hurt are over and we've finally beaten Forest away from home, so there's a bit more to this result than "job done". There's been plenty of frustrating games like that down the years there, with everything from European runs ended to title challenges decided, so it's an historic achievement for us to finally get over the line at that ground. I don't know when we'll win there again, but I hope it will be sooner than 2060.

After 4 games against fairly modest opposition, it's time to roll our sleeves up and finish the job at Anfield South, to finally bring the cup back home again.

its a marathon not a sprint I honestly think these lads and Jürgen know they need to pace themselves carefully and can up the pace when needed. The defence is just epic now and Ali is just on another level at the moment.
