Think for us it’s a ‘must not lose’ game, City can be incredibly consistent so to be 4 points off them with 7 games to go I think would be tough to claw back.

1 point off though, I’d fancy us to get ahead of them.

Exactly - 4 points feels impossible. A win would be incredible however our record there is pretty poor, even under Klopp (as is there record at anfield).

I think it could be one of those games that’s hyped up so much that could end up a boring stalemate

2-0 we won, all that matters.

I know we will click sometime soon, the lads flew back from all over the world, had 1 meeting and 1 training session.

At least now, we have a few days to prepare for Benfica and then a few more days to prepare for them cu*ts.

Yup. Not the end of the world but a draw really sets us back. City’s remaining games are buttery soft having to play against Brighton, Watford, Leeds and Newcastle. Only side good enough to really battle them for a point is West Ham, so it really lessens our chances if we have to depend on them to drop points after our game.

      Quote from PolarBearRed
Hodgson being a clown talking about the penalty ''left a sour taste in his mouth''. Maybe make sure your players are not mistaking the penalty box for a greco-roman wrestling mat instead chatting sh*t.

I assume he had not seen the replay when he said it, because you can't argue about the decision when you see it. Attwell isn't really our best friend atm but it's both clear and obvious, it's what VAR was designed to stop happening, and it should be stopped far more often than it is.

Unfortunately we still refuse to have a screen in our ground so unlike at other stadiums, nobody there can actually see why a VAR call was made. And if it wants to host the Euros in a few years time, it's going to need one.

This was another awful game against them, just as it was the last time we had to face them at home, but we won the league then. It was a warm up job for next week, and the job was done. Now it's time to face City and set Diaz on them.
