We made mistakes first half as well, just Benfica made more and we punished them.

Second half they look more focused and the goal has just knocked all the confidence out of us.

I don’t think the contract issue is the main reason for salahs drop of form.
He lost in a final for Egypt with a penalty shoot out and then a month later loses another shoot out which denies him a World Cup spot.
And for someone like him who is basically Mr Egypt that must hurt.

Salah before January was incredible, couldn’t stop him and looked like he’d break his record of 44 goals. Since January when he’s missed out on the Ballon d’Or and lost the final of Afcon, he’s been very hit and miss. Think he has something like 1 goal in open play in his last 8 or 9 games. Need him to get back to his scintillating best because at the moment his game is well off.

thought it doesn't carry to the 3rd game. My understanding is back to back yellows (last game and today) he would miss the following game, but since he didn't get booked today it he's good to go.
