Solid stuff bar a mad 20 minutes in the second half. Don't think the first was as good as some made out but it was certainly good enough to warrant the lead and then we gained some control towards the end and deserved the third goal. Just a shame we didn't take more of our chances to completely kill the tie.

Still an excellent away result in Europe though.

Probably why we have two players in the Top 5 for big chances missed.

But at least we create a lot of chances.

We would most matches by 3 or 4 if Fowler or Owen played in this team..Obviously the lads are top but they leave a lot of 1 v 1s go begging

In my opinion should be an independent assessment.

The concussion protocol in football is dire.
Totally agree mate should involve an MRI scan and neurologist.

      Naby lad!

That vote of confidence from Klopp to keep Diaz and Keita on payed off, both were brilliant.

Felt for Konate, thought apart from the mistake and a rough 5-10mins after he was immense.

      Great result! YNWA

I thought Keita would (and should have) come off. Him staying on was maybe indicative of him not starting on Sunday...but he stuck at it and was excellent at the end.

Absolutely ropey 25 minutes or so in that second half but impressive how they calmed it all down, took the sting out of Benfica and their fans and then restored our two goal lead. Impressive stuff!

We should have won this 5-1 at least

would have been a fairer result on performance we just had a wobble for 20 mins but Hendo definitely steadied things. Great result though

I don't think it was a vote of confidence really, just a sign of who is playing Sunday. Diaz and Keita probably on the bench.

Is there a defender who has offered as much fruit to Liverpool's forwards over the last few years than Otamendi? I don't think there is.

Probably not just Liverpool's forwards to be fair. He's just sh*te.

He was no worse than any other player in that period and was better than others when we were dominating hasn't played for 3 weeks did well

Keita, Diaz, Trent and Konate aside from the error all had great games.

Salah had a stinker but it’s great having a top quality bench and players off form can be interchanged seamlessly.

3 goals away from home and tbh, it could easily have been twice that.
Still a little bit sloppy in spells, but even so got the result relatively comfortably.
Jürgen and the lads will be delighted.

Salah hasn't been playing well for a few games now, assume he'll start Sunday, but could do with an improvement from him.
Thought Hendo settled things when he came on, Naby did well as did Fab.
Went for Diaz MOTM, sharp all game, v pacy, setup Mane, got his goal, in front of a crowd that booed him most of the time. Not a bad signing :)

      Job done tonight.
Focus switches now to the massive game at the weekend.

Luis was a constant threat hope he plays Sunday he is relatively unknown to City players. Bit worried about Mo and Sadio the look leggy to say the very least.

Yea Sadio and Mo have played too much football, plain and simple.

Klopp is a f***in' Wizard. He can find those players that just slide into this team and system and thrive in it. Dias is just amazing. He added that bit of spark we needed and he is going to be one of his best signings ever.

First half was very good for large parts, the 2nd half was bad for large parts but we got a 2 goal advantage and gives us a bit of room to to rotate.

Fairs, I thought that also but they might have taken it as that. Keita seemed to get a second wind after Thiago came off.

The theatrical throws to the ground by their lead striker Darwin Nunez left a lot to be desired.

Absolutely pathetic look for a 6 foot plus individual.
