You go with a midfield of Hendo, Thiago and Fabinho everyday for this match don't you?

Think he will but wouldn't bother me in the slightest if Naby started

Agreed, this game is made for Thiago. Personally I would go with Thiago, Fab and Henderson for the experience then possibly get Keita on at 60 mins.

I also think Henderson would be better covering on the right side when Trent gets forward. I know City are consistently going to target that area, and due to our play he is going to leave gaps there.

Its going to be awfully tough. Their front 3 on the most (especially Foden, Silva, Jesus) are going to press Ali and our defence like mad, so playing out of the back will be tricky. May have to kick longer and see if we can move up quicker for the second balls.

Defence is predictable, Matip in and Konate out.

Midfield is reasonably predictable with Thiago, Fab and Hendo starting. There could be a small change Keita starts instead of Hendo.

The big question is who starts up front and does Klopp go for a front 3 or front 4 (like last season). I think it will be 3, and even with Salahs form recently he will not be dropped for a game like this. Jota should start as he's just very prolific. The 3rd striker is a toss up. I would go with Firmino as he has great ball retention and we are going to need that in the first half especially. He can sit next to Rodri and try and prevent him dictating play. I think he plays better from the start than being introduced later.

Mane and Diaz will be our fast attackers who can cause havoc later in the game.

Whatever happens we need to keep an eye on De Bryune.

Definitely agree with your first paragraph as Foden exploited that position earlier in the season at Anfield against Milner who couldn’t keep up with his pace

He was on the left in October, Jesus was on the right. Trent was out injured so Jürgen put Milner in that position, not sure about the previous ones before that

Really can go either way this one.

      Best two sides in Europe.

For me I'd go Fabinho, Henderson Thiago from the start with Navy to come on. I'd be tempted to start Keita but I think Hendo will be up for this one and will drive us on.

Front three I'd start Diaz simply because he's unknown to them. Firmino and Salah to complement. Bobbie as he is the one guy we have who drops deep and gives the opposition something extra to think about

I know  if we are going to win this it will be a very tight game most likely a goal in it.   But I would just love it if we battered them just humiliate them at this very important junction in the season.  I would just love it have heard something similar in the years gone by!

I think most of the team picks itself.  The back 5 plus Fab is a nailed on certainty.  I'd also say Thiago and Hendo are 99% certain to start, and Mo will 100% start.  The selections come down to CF and LW.  I'd go for Bobby over Jota because I think his pressing and ability to knick the ball and creat opportunities for us to counter will be important.  I'd also go for Mane just due to his experience and chemistry with Robbo down the left.  Jota, Diaz, and Naby to come on if we need reinforments to change the game.

      Ali
      TAA -- Joel -- Virg -- Robbo
      Fab
      Hendo -- Thiago
      Mo -- Bob -- Sadio

Obviously this could go either way, but I think we'll nick this 2-1.  Jürgen's tactical plan tends to play well against Pep's system.

Loss - would loose momentum, 4 points behind with not that many games left - would be difficult to overtake them
Draw - not bad, but would not be in our hands - and have to be tuning in every F***ing weekend hoping poxy Brentford or whoever can do us an unexpected favor - still, we've seen them drop points - but we've also seen them go on long runs...
Win - we go top, have the momentum, and would fancy us from there

MASSIVE MASSIVE game, there is no other way to put it

I trust Pep to overthink and make a mess in our favour. The pressure gets to him more than it does to Jürgen.

Some nervousness is probably healthy for excitement and entertainment. But if it gets too unbearable, remember that your nerves do not have the power to change or guarantee the outcome of the match. There is no point worrying either. ;D

It's the first of the three massive games against them
      10/4 Premier League
      16/4 FA Cup
      25/5 Champion League Final

The two best sides in Europe at the moment. If we can win all three games, I think it will go in the history books.
