If we win one more trophy... this is the greatest ever English team.

did you ever hear of Bob Paisley ?
I dont get this need to compare the accomplishment and titles of previous great by saying one team was better than the other different era's different challenges etc . Just f***in enjoy what we are seeing compare our team against City or UTD or even Everton but its just doesnt sit right trying to put down the achievements of great Liverpool teams.

That’s where I’m at , this team sits on its own merit in this era , don’t know how you can compare different training different recovery different nutrition , all our great teams deserve their own rightful place ,

I love every single one of them mate I couldnt possibly say one was better than the other Sir Bob won 20 major honours first manager to win 3 European Cups his only blip the FA Cup.
This team is joyous to watch Jürgen is such a personality you could listen to him talk for hours. But would he have won what Bob won or would Bob have won what Jürgen has with this team its an impossible and a silly question we are incredibly lucky that we have a history second to no other club. WHEN we win our 4th Trophy in Paris they will rightly be called the most successful team in a single season and we will talk about them forever more and rightly so.

BOBs record will never be beaten.

What a man, what a team.

Have we ever come out as champions going into the final game in second place?
Quite a few recent ones where city have kept their advantage, and 1989 of course.

Jürgen and his boys are writing their own history, the simple fact of still being in with a chance of the quadruple going into the last day is testament to that, no other club has gotten as close to it as we have, NO ONE, that’s history right there, whether we pull it off or not, we still have the CL final Vs RM to negotiate too and although we do owe them a pasting, nothing is guaranteed, but we will win it 😂,

You cannot compere between ‘Sir’ Bob’s burgers & Jürgen’s jaeger bombs, their two completely different entities, take the CL/European cup, in Bob’s day it was a two legged home&away fixture straight knockout competition between all the champions of domestic titles around Europe, a proper HAVE to win at all costs or you were OOT, no dropping into another less shiny event to save your European arses, add the difference in equipment, from Balls to Boots to pitch conditions, to nutrition and fitness levels, to food supplements and ice baths, no real comparison at all really,

There are some similarities of course, the balls are still round, the nets are full of squares, with holes in them, the grass is still green with less mud and all the players still have to run around and pass the ball to one another and someone has to kick it in that holey netty thing, with a frame,

With each passing era in our case we as a club has had some very very special individuals adorn the corridors of Anfield, Melwood & now the Axa, it all started of course with Shanks, but LFC existed way before William Shankly built the foundations from 1959, they say in football it’s a cyclical pattern, can’t argue with that analogy over the years, and I guess there’s evidence to back that up, from Shanks retirement up pops Sir Bob, from Sir Bob Uncle Joe Fagan put his thruppence in in the short time he was ‘Boss’, then came the King, and the teams he built are in themselves legendary,

We had a bit of a lull thereafter of which there isn’t a lot to say tbh, and then came Monsieur Houllier, “Hou let the dogs out, Hou Hou Houllier, (wouldn’t he have just loved watching us right now, RIP Gerard) we know you’ll be watching over us in Paris, what a treble he gave us at the start of the millennium, unbelievable Jeff, then came that fat Spanish waiter bloke with all the fachts, the one that got right up fergies bacon faced hooter, brought our fifth European cup & 7th FA cup, good old Rafa, and then the circle completes with the ‘Normal’ one Jürgen Norbert Klopp bringing all of us joy happiness, a 19th league title, our Sixth European cup, another super cup, a world club cup, a 9th league cup and a 8th FA cup, and it doesn’t end here, we have another 4 seasons at least with Jürgen, Pep et al, how many more Quadruple’s will we be up for between now and then ?

And that Fat bi*ch isn’t singing yet either so hold onto your bell ends ppl, cos this ain’t over…….it’s gonna be one very very special parade whatever happens?

Pep will be going through his 117th team variation for Sunday with his 59th version of tactics his head will be f***in spinning whilst Jürgen will be sitting down with his family having a couple of Beers watching the Rangers game.
The great planner is plotting his own down fall imagine the noise in the media if the best team in the world win F**k all and the only team to dare compete with them walks away with all four trophies.

Think the key for Villa is to hold their nerve and don't let them score more than 1 goal for like 70 or so minutes. Let city's own nerves do the trick for them.

City might have their reverse Aguero moment, this time.

It would be nice to hear "Coutinhooooooooooooooooo oooooooooo" in the 93rd minute

Though Tyler would more than likely cry than jizz his pants like the Aguero one.

seriously is the league  title worth winning because we will have to suffer seeing and listening to the worst loser in history. I can imagine him saying the Country got what it wanted nobody likes us and all that bollox on second thoughts that would be a delight to see his face when Phil curls one in in the 94th minute to win the game and Gerrard runs on the pitch and does a slide .
Its going to be tense afternoon we will have to put up with either a right miserable sod or a false smug smile congratulating Liverpool I really cant stand the c**t and hasnt won the CL without Messi in his team. in the words of that great philosopher Jim Royle "best manager in the World my arse" we have the best manager in the universe

Exactly, and the powers at be have made a special dispensation that Gerrard (and Suarez) can play for Villa as no one likes City $$
