This. Diaz may end up playing if Jota isn't deemed ready. Apparently he picked up a knock.

Kyle Walker looks like he may be out, and KDB could be a question for them aswell. They had a much more grueling game, and very little rotation, unlike us. They also had the issue of having to travel, unlike us.

2-1 win to the future FA Cup champs from Merseyside

Walker a big loss for them with his pace and KDB obviously but we need to focus on us and coming out of the traps quicker this time.Team similar  to last week maybe Jota doubt.

Approach the game from the off like we did the 2nd half Sunday well win, in fact we should tear into them for the first 20 like its the last 20 and we need 2 to win.

Personally Id rest 2 or 3 to have them at max for utd on Tuesday.

Didn't realize we were playing our first 11 vs our bench.  ;D ;D ;D

There was enough rotation against Benfica. Full strength for me. Aside maybe from Kelleher in goal. He earned it.

The old tried and trusted three amigos up top, a solid astute and clever midfield and a back five any side in the world would love to have, not too bothered how City line up I just know we will win this game, we have Jota & Diaz to come on and tormented tiring legs on the hour probably for Bobby & Mane and we could see Naby lad on for Hendo soon after, or even before,

Bobby was brilliant Vs Benfica so heā€™s in for me and Iā€™m keeping the faith with Mo & Mane, those three just fit so perfectly and know each otherā€™s games inside out, this could go the whole way so freshest of legs from the hour mark will be a huge bonus, hence holding Jota & Diaz back.

Fab didnā€™t look himself v Benfica. Was he carrying an injury 🤷ā€ā™‚ļø Who knows. But if he was, would he be over it for tomorrow.
And as for the league cup final, think we need to wrap Tiago in cotton wool immediately, until ko .tomorrow 😬

Iā€™m not sure DeBruyne was injured to bad. Think he took a couple of digs and due to the nature of the game, pep thought heā€™d rather sacrifice Sterling if there was gonna be any serious hits !
      Only my opinion though.

Would go full strength tomorrow. Probably the same team which started on Sunday. Defence and midfield more or less picks itself, only real problem we have now (and it's a good problem at that) is who to play up front. Even Bobby and Sadio, who both looked like we were begging to phase out a few months ago, are now on fire and have scored some big goals of late. Only striker at the moment who hasn't really been on it during the last week's / months is Salah. But it's an absolute certainty that he'll be firing on all cylinders soon enough, so you'd be a brave man to leave him out. Tomorrow could very well be the day he reverts back to factory settings.

Think we will get a grip of this game much better than we did during Sunday's meeting, certainly in the early part. Hopefully De Bruyne & Walker aren't fit enough to feature which would be a huge bonus, there's also the bonus of it being at Wembley and Man City failing miserably to sell out their allocation. With us having far more supporters in the ground hopefully we're able to make it as intimidating as possible for them.

Can't wait for it tomorrow, coach leaves at 7AM. Just had an email off the provider saying it's strictly no alcohol and they'll be checking bags so I've just spent the last hour pouring two bottles of spiced rum into Capri Sun pouches to conceal them 😂

      Up the reds!

Winning tomorrow is important as this will put pressure on Citeh psychologically as far as the Premier League is concerned. Just don't want to give them the time to breathe.  Pep can't handle pressure and eventually will start to overthink.

Longshot, but here goes... Iā€™m a Scottish-based Red, occasional Anfield visitor these days. My in-laws live in London just up the road from Wembley, and my son -well heā€™s becoming a big Reds fan and turns 15 years old on 16th April! Iā€™ve tried a few avenues for tickets but to no avail yet.
Donā€™t suppose any LFC fans have two pals who canā€™t travel so might sell on tickets to two near-Wembley-based reds? If lady luck strikes I can collect near Wembley on Saturday!
