Some pretty sh*t referring too in the first half.
Fernandinho should have got a yellow for persistent fouling. Then a red in the 2nd.
      Silva should've got a yellow.
And our Fab got a yellow for a F***ing dive from Jesus.
And where'd he get the extra 1 and a half minutes after 4 mins added.

Sterling bounced today. He did next to nothing. Mahrez was more effective for the few minutes he was on. For all the plaudits they get I thought they were poor today. Finally managed a bit of pressure in the last 5 minutes but we nullified them. All 3 in midfield put in a shift today.

Konate is brilliant in the air. Lot of defenders balloon a lot over the bar but he goes at it with such intent that he won't miss many. Clubs will now put blockers on him or foul him. Only his first season as well.

Never mind the persistent fouling, he should've gotten a yellow for wiping out Diaz.

We hardly got a soft free kick, they got a 3 or 4 but I have to say Mane was great today but he has to be careful as he is getting booked to many times. He'll end up getting a red if he's not careful.

He's got 5 yellows in 40 appearances, before today the last one he got was early March. Don't look for a problem that doesn't exist.

Nervy at the end, but 3-2 flattered them. Thought we were excellent, controlled the midfield throughout (which obviously we didn't do in the league game). Strange team selection from Guardiola, with just Fernandinho as their only ball winner - I fancied us strongly when I saw the lineups.

Mane was runaway MOTM - really at his best today, good to see going into the run in. Fabinho was excellent in midfield too, made up for being ropey last week. Only thing missing today was a goal from Mo, but there were signs in the second half especially, of him getting back in his stride, couple of lovely wee spins in behind.

Superb performance from team and fans.
The fact they didn't sell out their end sums that small time cu*ts up.

Love that new Klopp sing, will be singing that in my sleep tonight.

I thought Salah was ok today. Lost his  confidence around the goal and is still being too selfish as he's desperate to score. But the rest of his game was good. This is his first goal drought since being at Liverpool (that I can remember) but I think every forward in the history of football will have a dry period.

Like the game last week I thought we were clinical again this game only difference was he had more control in the middle and up top where as last weekend we couldn't hold the ball/maintain possession for significant periods of time.

Moving Mane in the middle seems to have rejuvenate him, he had good scoring record in recent weeks when deployed centrally. Thought Thiago who had a poor game last weekend was able to get on the more and in better positions on the field to make things happen.

What REALLY happened is that Man City, under Pep Guardiola, often claimed to be the best manager in the game, came out in the second half...facing a 3-0 deficit and getting back to 3-1...completely failed to show any real passion..fighting spirit...they had a chance to perform a fantastic come back..and they didn't show any real fight..untill the last few minutes.

We all know the miraculous comebacks we have performed, it's part of our DNA but City showed nowt...nothing like enough...bottled it...spewed it...didn't have what it takes...let the fans down..I thought when it went 3-1 we were going to be on the rack but it just fizzled out untill the last 5 or so..

      Shameful Mancheater City..

      Post match quote from Jürgen:

"We pressed them high. We pushed them to make a mistake and for that we got our reward. That's Liverpool, that's our style of play."

"Ali, what a game he played, but had our own moments as well and could've decided the game earlier. We didn't do it and that makes it a bit more special – 3-0 against City would feel kind of strange. 3-2 is a fair result and this was still good enough to bring us to the final."

Question for you (and anyone else who was at Wembley today):  Jürgen mentioned this after the game and I'm wondering, is there any chance that fans at the ground might not have heard an announcement about observing a minute of respect. Seems unlikely to me, but wanted to at least ask.

City not respecting the 97 was terrible ,shame on you ! what a team Jürgen selected today ! Konate a massive player for us, midfield had it all, winning the ball creating, linking play 3 heroes for me ! Diaz...what a star player he is virtually unplayable,MOTM goes to Sadio who worked his knackers off all game ,Mo was disappointing again but will come good .What happened to yellow cards against Fernandinho and his fouling mates? refereeing needs looking at !.............fabulous play from our lads ,great performance

Certanly no love for the 97 gron the City fans classless like the rest

City fans, when in lower divisions followed their team... Add money, like chelsea are plasy millionaires.  Totally classles, but at the end of the day, they are Mancs so says it all.  The only one showing his real class is Pep
